Chapter 11 [pt.1]

It's been a few days and I can't accept that Maiko is dead and I won't accept that he's dead, I sat at me desk just thinking.

I got up and got changed into my ninja outfit, I left my flat and went to Tsunade's office, I knocked on the door and waited for her to tell me to come in, once I heard her say it I walked in.

"Y/n good to see you" she told me with sympathy in her eyes

"I want to know we're Maiko went on his last mission" I asked her

"They went to the hidden sand village for a scroll that was stolen why?" She questioned me

"Because I want to go look for him on the way they would of went" I told her

"Y/n he was injured and most likely captured and killed" she told me

"I won't accept it Tsunade I won't accept that he's died until I see his body until I get to hold it" I told her

"How do you know that it's not anyone from another village" she asked

"Because I've been on many missions to the sand and there isn't any other village close to it they would have to go our of there way to send there ninja or any rouge to just injure one of them and not kill the rest, it would most likely be a Sand ninja or a sand rouge unless that rouge was just passing by" I told her I gripped my pants on the side of my skirt

Tsunade sighed and put her pen down, she rested her chin on her hand.

"Fine I'll let you go but you will go with your team" she told me

"I can do it alone Tsunade" I told her

"No you won't I am telling you that you are going to go with your team or your not going at all" she told me strictly

I sighed

"Fine" I told her releasing the grip I had on my pants

I walked out of her office as she sent a bird to summon the rest of the team, before I left I told her that I didn't want Sai or Yamato, all I wanted was the three people who have been on the team since day one.

I walked into my room and grabbed a bag and packed scrolls, extra weapons, and some extra clothes just in case, I packed a few more things then I left and headed towards the gate, as I got closer I saw the three people who were coming with me.

"Let's get going it take's about two days to get to Suna and I want to look on the trails for any sign's of him or were he could be" I told them walking out the gate

"Y/n it's already noon will have to stop soon" Naruto said

"Exactly which is way I want to cover as much ground as we can now then we can set up camp for the night" I told them

"Alright" they said

I knew they probably didn't agree with the mission or unlike me they knew he was gone and accepted it but I couldn't, not with out seeing his body, not with out being able to say goodbye and being able to bring his body home and bury him in our clans cemetery next to his parents like he wanted, but unless I go through with this mission I won't know if he's truly is dead.

The sun has long set, we had stopped a few hours ago and set up camp, we where sitting at the fire eating some food that we had packed.

After I finished I looked at the fire, then at the ground, I got up and went to my tent and laid down, I soon feel asleep.

Third pov

After Y/n went to her tent they waited a few minutes to let her fall asleep.

"I don't like seeing her like this" Sakura spoke

"None of us do Sakura" Naruto told her

"Kakashi is there anyway to help her?" Sakura asked

Kakashi sighed as he looked at the two teens in front of him wishing they were younger.

"No there isn't anyway to help her, she's in denial right now. She needs to accept that Maiko isn't coming back on her own terms and if it means going on this mission to find him then so be it, she needs you guys the more then ever right now" Kakashi told them

"But if he's dead what is she gonna do just leave his body" Naruto asked

"No my guess is she will bring his body home and bury him in her clans graveyard next to his parents" Kakashi told them

The two sighed as they looked at the fire, they both racked there brains for any other ideas on how to help her but they came up blank.

Y/n's pov

"Naruto walk faster" I complained

"I'm tired we've have been walking since an hour before sun raise can't we take a break" He asked

I rubbed my temple and sighed

"Fine"I said

I stop walking and sat against a tree and grabbed a snack, Naruto fell backwards. He then grabbed one of his instant remans from his bag.

"How are you going to make that with out hot water" Sakura asked him

"Um I'll heat it up" he told her

"But we don't have a fire" I told him

Naruto groaned and got up, he walked into the forest and got some sticks and made a fire, he put some water in and let it come to a boil before he poured it into his reman.

I closed my eyes listening to the sound of the birds chirping, the gentle breeze hitting my skin, I took a deep breath and opened my eyes.

I got up and walked over to the middle were there was a clearing, I laid on the ground and looked up at the sky watching the clouds go by.

I heard a sound in the trees, I glanced around as I tried to sense any chakra signatures, I found them. They were hiding in the forest maybe a few yards away from us but they weren't moving they stood were they where but one, there was one running towards us.
