This is the sequel to "what lies in the truth" if you haven't read it I would read that first.
It's been a year and half and Y/n finally comes back to the village. She thought it would be peaceful no problems at all.
She was wrong with everything...
"Yes mommy!" She yelled excitedly jumping up and down
I smiled at her, I told her what we need. She got what she could out and I got the rest, I picked her up and sat her on the table.
"Can you crack the egg" I asked
"Yup"
"Alright but make sure no egg shell gets in there" I told her
"Okay"
She cracked the egg into the bowl, I check to make sure no egg shell was in the batter and when I wasn't any.
"Good job Grace" I told her
We put the rest of the stuff in the bowl
"Can you mix it" I said
She grabbed the spoon and sat on her knees and mixed the batter.
"Mommy my arm is getting tired" she pouted
I chuckled softly
"Okay mommy will mix now" I told her
I grabbed the spoon and mixed it, after I was done we put the batter on a baking sheet. After that I grabbed it and put it in the oven, I turned around and saw her face full of batter.
"I looked away for one minute and your covered in batter" I teased
"It's really good" she told me
I walked over to the sink and grabbed a towel and ran water over it, I ringed out all the extra water. I walked back over to her and wiped her face clean, once it was done I set her on the ground, she ran to go play with her toys.
After 20 minutes I got up and took the cookies out and put them on a plate to cool, I heard the door open.
"Daddy your home"
"Hi there princess"
Maiko walked in with Grace in his arms.
"What did you and mommy do all day" he asked
"We colored and baked cookies then played with my toys" she told him
"Sounds like you had a busy day" he told her
She nodded her head, he then put her down and she went back to her toys, Maiko walked over and hugged me, I gave him a quick kiss before I started washing the dishes.
"How did the mission go?" I asked
"It went good although we weren't able to get the information we wanted" he told me as he put his arms around my waist and his head on my shoulder
2 years later
Me and Maiko where standing outside of the academy waiting for Grace to come out of class. Students started to leave the building, Grace came out after another minute.
When she saw us she ran over to us and jumped into my arms, some of the other parents who where older gave us disgusted looks.
Me and Maiko are both 21 now and Grace is 5 and is turning 6 in a few months, they where giving us disgusting looks because it's not hard to figure out that I had her when I was 16 but they don't know the age I was they just know I had her when I was a teen.
Some make rude comments that we won't be able to support her and give her the care that she needs, when really she has everything she needs and we make her care top priority for us, we have more then enough money to support her financially because we come from a wealthy clan plus the money that was left in my name after my parents where killed.
Most the time we ignore there comments and disgusted looks but a couple times some people tried to touch her or tried ripping her out of my arms thats when I draw the line.
"How was school" I asked
"It was so much fun, we learned how to throw kunai and I hit the bull's-eye twice" she told me
"You have your mothers aim" Maiko told her
"What else did you do" I asked as we started walking to the house, I put her on my left hip and I had my left arm under her butt to support her
"Um I played with Daisy and Liam"
"Oh how are they doing" Maiko asked
"There doing good, Daisy was able to hit the bull's-eye too but Liam missed and hit the tree" she told us with a giggle
"Well then you and Daisy should help him" I told her
"Okay, can me and Daisy help him tomorrow" she asked
"We'll ask there parents if they can come over for dinner tomorrow and you and Daisy can help him" I told her
She nodded her head excited for tomorrow, I chuckled at how happy she was.
Maiko and Grace are the best things the could of happened to me and I'm so glad I have them, they bring my life so much joy and happiness that I can't put it into words.
