Chapter 27

I woke up from a pounding headache, I didn't want to get up so I snuggled into Kai's chest more. Wait Kai's chest, I opened my eyes and rolled off the bed landing with a thud.

"Damn that hurt more then I thought it would" I mumbled

"Y/n what are you doing" Kai asked

I stood up and saw him just laying there with a book in his hands

"How did I get here?" I asked

"I carried you here from the meeting with the elders, then when I put you in your room you didn't want to sleep alone so I brought you in here and you fell asleep on my chest" he told me

I ran my hand through my hair

"Wait where's my hair pins"

"Right here" he told me as he pointed to them

I walked over and saw a cup of untouched water and since I was thirsty I took it and I gulped it not caring if Kai was drinking it. After that I pick up my hair pins and turned and looked at Kai.

"Why didn't you leave when I was asleep" I asked

"Because I promised you not to"

"But I was asleep it's not like I would know" I told him

He shrugged his shoulders and closed his book and set it on his bed and got up and walked over to me, he put his hand on my forehead.

"At least your fevers gone for now" he told me

I smacked his hand away

"I'm gonna get going and take a shower" I said quickly

I walked out of his room and down the hall, I walked into my room and put my hair pins with the rest and walked into the bathroom, I took my dress off and start the water. I got in after I check to make sure the water was warm, my tensed muscles relaxed. I stood there for a minute and just stared at the wall while the warm water ran down me.

'I need a break' I thought at I washed my hair

'Your over working yourself ' Luna told me

'I know but I have to I need to keep everyone safe' I told her

'You do know your not alone you have Kai and the elders to help you'

'I know it's just I don't want to bother them' I told her

I turned off the water and dried off and got out and walked back into my room.

'Your not bothering them now if you excuse me I'm gonna take a nap'

'What hey! We're not done talking'

When she didn't respond I sighed, I got up and walked to my closet, I grabbed my night gown and put it on, I dried my hair with the towel then went and laid down and read a book until I fell asleep.

                               Time Skip

I sat down on the bench looking in the mirror as a maid did my hair

"My Lady are you excited about your birthday today" she asked

"Yes and no I mean this is the first time in a while that I'm celebrating with the clan but also not at the same time because of the memories of my last" I told her

She squeezed me shoulders

"Don't my lady everything will be just fine" she reassured
