I walk into my office

I walk into my office. I sit behind my desk waiting for Marissa to come in.

I am extremely content that our sister is back home. Finally a hope for my brothers and I. We battled a lot against darkness after her and Isabella's disappearance, however, after father's death, we lost to darkness and we let her consume us.

Now that Marissa is back. I see some light.

In fact this is my brothers and I's first breakfast together after father's death. All thanks to her, we all wanted to see her again.

When Leo told me that she doesn't remember us, my heart broke but then she recognised me and I felt happy, a feeling I didn't feel in a long time. She recognised Marcello too. It makes sense honestly we were the closest to her.

Marcello took her disappearance the hardest out of all of us. When we all gave up on finding her, he was the only one who still had hope. And he was right, she came back.

She's really changed. She's a young lady now. Her attitude is so much like her brothers now. She's intimidating, her glare can make people bow in front of her. Just like us.

What concerns me the most is her eyes. She lost that happiness and innocence we all saw in her beautiful brown eyes when she was young. Now her eyes are lifeless, still as gorgeous as ever but they don't sparkle anymore.

I know it's silly but we all expected to see that 4 year old girl again. The girl that laughs and yells while running around the mansion, giving life to this big place.

Instead we got a troublemaker teenager that we still love very much-

"Lorenzo can I come in?" Marissa said after she knocked two times. The twins might learn from her, they never knock.

"Please." I say.

She opens the door slowly and goes into my office, she looks around then her eyes widened slightly but she covered it quickly.

"You like guns?" She asks out of no where- oh no she saw the gun on the table, that's why her eyes widened.

"Not really but we have one for security purposes." I answer her, I hate lying to her but I need to in order to protect her. And besides I didn't really lie, the gun helps me protect myself.

"Cool.. I mean even with those guards or whatever they are everywhere you go, you need a gun? Why? Are you like a famous person?" She asks. She has always been curious when she was young she questioned everything. I liked that about her... I am not sure I like that now.

"Our family business is well known that makes us have a good amount of rivals."

"What's the family business?" She asks the expected question.

"We have a lot of companies, clubs, casinos, restaurants and among other things." I didn't lie but I hid the truth. I mean I can't just tell my little sister that I am the leader of one of the biggest mafias in the world, now can I? But I will tell her someday, not now, not in a very long time but someday.
