"How are you feeling?" Aurora barged into my room as enthusiastically as always. "You do look so good though!" She said throwing some shopping bags on the floor before cupping my face giving me a quick kiss on the cheek.
"I'm feeling okay." I responded to her first question pausing the episode on my tv and putting the nail polish away taking a break from all the focusing careful not to mess up my nails. "And stop lying, I look very sick."
"You don't! You're fucking glowing!"
"That's just sweat beautiful."
"Take the compliment and shut the fuck up." She said glaring at me playfully causing me to chuckle.
"What's that?" I asked looking at the many bags on the floor.
"Oh I went shopping today! I found some really cute stuff for my nephew-"
"Aurora it's still too early and I still haven't made my decision-"
"But before yesterday at 4:27 pm you said you might want to keep it!!" She said giving me the puppy eyes- okay now I understand the power that move holds. "Please I want a baby! A little nephew! Please?" It's like she's asking me to let her borrow my dress.
"Aurora." I raised my eyebrows at her. I am starting to sound a lot like Lorenzo and keep in mind she's older than me. Aurora proves that age is just a number because mentally she's a kid that I really care about.
"Pretty please?" She asked pressing her hands together, begging me.
"Only if you agree to change the diapers." I said playfully.
"Yes yes yes! I just know that you're gonna be the best mother to my favourite nephew!"
The truth is I have always knew that I was gonna keep this baby, I just didn't want to say it out loud. I already love him or her so much. I just nodded smiling, my hand brushing over my belly very softly and unnoticeably.
"Okay I am gonna show you what I got for the little one!" She said excitedly putting the bags on my bed. She showed me a bunch of cute little outfits, first of all she bought too much and second of all- "why is everything blue?" I asked. We still don't know the sexe and I don't think I want to know, I want to be surprised. "You should have at least bought neutral clothes. What if and just hear me out... what if it's a girl?" I asked.
"It's a boy." She said so certain of herself. "Every first born Blade baby is a boy. This went on for decades- I mean we have my grandpa then dad then Silas- Wait have you two talked after that incident? I mean it's been a month."
"No we haven't spoke." I said.
Ever since that "incident", Aurora kind of moved in in here, she has been taking care of me and she's just the sweetest. I haven't seen Silas at all, he just leaves in the early morning and comes back very late. I only know that by the sound of the door closing and opening.
