I arrive at the Riva mansion, Marissa and Blake both have work, so I'm stuck babysitting Ace since I have got nothing to do. I have finished college and don't work yet. I don't even know if I'm ever gonna work, I have already more money than I can ever spend so I don't think working as an engineer would help me enjoy life more.
"Hey!" Lily spots me in the main hall.
"Hi!" I hugged her. She's the sweetest girl I have ever fucking met. And the prettiest. I'm jealous of Lorenzo, yes. "You look good, where are you going?"
"I'm going out with some friends- care to join?" She asked. But she doesn't know that I don't like people that much. So that's a hard pass.
"I wish, but I gotta keep an eye on Ace." I shrugged.
"Oh, well I wish you luck and by the way, you're alone in the house so make yourself home."
"Thanks, I will." I nodded smiling.
"Bye, love."
"Bye." The door closes and I walk towards the kitchen because I'm hungry and I found Ace there eating cereal and watching something on his iPad. "Hey." I greet him.
"Hey." He greets me back without looking away from the screen. I make myself some coffee while listening to whatever Ace is watching which is probably how to train your dragon because he's obsessed with that show.
"How was your first night without any Blade by your side, traitor?" I asked jokingly.
"Traitor?" He questioned still not looking away from the screen.
"Yes. Traitor."
"Who did I betray?"
"The Blades by sleeping over at the Rivas."
"I'm partly a Riva, so what you're saying makes no sense."
I chuckled before going on my phone checking messages from my friends who are asking where I am. I assure them that I'm fine and just lie and say that I'm on a family vacation.
"What's a whore?" Ace asked me.
I paused. I don't know what to say. I don't want to traumatise him, he's already traumatised enough. "Where did you hear that?" I asked instead.
"Uncle Matteo was making fun of uncle Marcello because he loves Sofia so uncle Marcello told him to go f- word his whores." He explained pausing the episode he was watching.
"Okay, well..." Yeah, there's no way, I'm gonna find a good answer to that. "Hold on." I told him before calling Marissa who hangs up on me so I call her again, she declines my call once again then I send her a message saying it's an emergency so she finally responds. "What?!?" Marissa exclaimed in frustration. "Are you okay? Is Ace okay?" She asks sounding out of breath- oh, I interrupted her fun- wait didn't she say she had work that's why I'm babysitting Ace?!?- My god!
