You guys decided to walk today.
It wasn't THAT far. Not if you took a shortcut.
"That was kind of cool." Dave spoke up.
"No one has ever had the courage to say a thing to her. Then you just up and punch her." You heard the slight excitement in his voice
This was your chance.
"Haha... Yeah.. Uh.. Can we... Okay so speaking of Shyla..
I know you just told her we where dating to get her off your back.. But.. That-"
"The kiss?" He spoke up.
You felt heat emit from your face.
"Y-yeah..."
"Okay." He said. "Let's talk about it."
You felt shaky. "well.. Did ...did it ...
Mean anything?"
It was really awkward now. You weren't good at these talks...You looked over and saw he smirked
What does that even mean.
"Well..." He said. He looked up. It was your house he was staring at.
"How about this. In about an hour I'll come back to your house and we can talk about it then."
You only nodded. "Y-yeah.. Okay.." He smiled and handed you your bag. He took you to your door. "See you in an hour."
You slightly chuckled. "Yeah." You stepped in and shut the door behind you. Then slid down it.
Oh goodness.
Dave made you feel like you where stupid. Only because he was so good with words and you just stumble over them!
You got up and set your bag down and brushed your hair again.
Your fist was kind of red at the knuckles.
You must've punched her pretty well. Nice job.
Soon an hour passed and there was a knock at your door. Oh by the way. The office was let out early for whatever reason, so your sister was home now.
She answered the door.
Yeah that's why that's relevant.
You ran downstairs but you where too late.
Dave smiled and waved at you.
Your sister let you go. With the curfew of 11:30 of course.
It was around 6:00 ish now.
So you left with Dave. "So where are we going..?" You asked.
He only smirked.
"Somewhere. Somewhere nice."He led you to.. Like a cliff thing. It was sorta high up and below the cliff was a huge body of water.
"See?" He said. "Isn't this beautiful." You nodded. You where in awe. You looked up and the sun was barley beginning to set.
"So I promised I'd answer you."
This was it. You could finally find out if your kiss was real. If you meant anything to him like he said. If you should even be crushing on him. You Waited in anticipation.
"No." He answered. "That kiss didn't really mean much."
Your heart sank to your stomach.
"Oh..." You said
You had to hold back tears. Why did you even have to like this cute cool guy? He obviously couldn't even ever go for a weird thing like you.
"-but." He continued on. You looked up at him.
"But...?" You waited.
"But I can show you one that is real."
You didn't get it.
You noticed the sun was now setting and the sky was a beautiful color now. A beautiful mixture.
Dave cupped the right side of your face and turned you back for you to stare at him. Or his. Sunglasses. Anyway..
He slowly advanced and locked his lips with yours in a slow kiss.
Your insides where burning. You closed your eyes and fell into the kiss.
This one felt so much different from the last time.
It felt
Meaningful.
He pulled back and looked at you. With a smile. A real smile. Not a smirk.
Then you realized. You where really smiling too. Not a fake. A real genuine smile.
"Did that have meaning to it?" He asked all teasingly.
You could only nod.
You, without thinking, wrapped your arms around him in a hug.
You couldn't stop smiling.
Damn that was perfectly timed. The beautiful sunset and everything.
Dave Strider? More like Damn-That-Was-Smooth Strider.
Bad joke whatever.
You remembered what Dirk said. About how girls cheat on him and make it hard for him to trust. No not you. If anything advanced you would make him feel better. Make him trust. You wouldn't ever let him down.
This was a promise.
You kinda took the moment to realize.
You kissed Dave Strider.
Oh no wait.
Dave Strider...
Kissed you.
