Uh.. Sorry? This chapter kind of is weird but I'm like subtly dropping hints on what could possibly be happening. So. So y e a h.
Warning this is odd:
----"I just need to talk to your sister..." Kane blinked. "Just .. Just let me through..."
You sighed. "Man, she's sleeping.."
"Kane?"
Damn it, Lindsay.
Didn't she know you where busy trying to save a previous relationship and send him on his way?You turned and found your sister was staring at the both of you.
"What are you doing here?"
Kane smiled.
"I uh.. I wanted to just talk to you." His smile turned sheepish. You frowned and decided fuck it and went to your room to continue watching your show.
Meanwhile your sister slid on her shoes. "Alright, let's go outside.." She smiled.
Her and Kane made their way down to the outside. The air was crisp and cool. More like a cold breeze.
It was also dark. Nice and low."So what's up..?"
He smiled at her again.
"I just kind of really wanted to see you.."'he said, walking around. She followed by his side and frowned. "Oh.. That's unusual, aha, but alright..." She picked back up her perky smile."Why is it unusual?" He frowned, more confused.
"I mean .. I'm not the best person to be around I guess."
He shook his head. "Oh, don't say that, you're wonderful to be around."
He offered a friendly smile.
"Heh, thank you."They walked down the block at random, going back and forth.
"Your head is looking much better." He nudged her arm. "Oh why thank you, I finally had the stitches removed and I can drive now! So, lovely, I guess.."
He nodded. "Well, that's good."
He paused for a moment."Say... How did you get to work these few days?"
"Dirk has been taking me and bringing me back, he's sweet." She nodded, happily.
Kane frowned, but when she looked over he smiled again.
"How kind."Kane looked away and thought about him. He's noticed the time they spend together is slowly increasing and honestly he liked it better when they weren't on speaking terms. Before, they were practically joined at the hip. No one could touch her without Dirk getting instantly suspicious, making Kane's life much more difficult, never having much of an opportunity to talk to Lindsay.
"Well I'm glad you two are building up again." He smiled at her.
Liar."If I'm allowed to ask... What happened between you two? Why did you end?"
She hesitated.
"Oh um.. It was my fault. I was being stupid and I let myself get in the way, if that makes sense. ""It does. " he nodded.
She did too. "I'm just happy he and I are talking again. "
"I am too,"
Liar.
"You two are nice together."She shivered. It was getting colder, her arms were bare. Kane smiled and wrapped his arm around her arms. "Cold?" He asked with a cocky smile.
She shrugged. "Yeah, a little bit."
She tensed at the sudden contact. She didn't know how to explain she didn't really care to be touched by others. So, she let it slide and just dealt with it.They kept walking and conversing about things that popped into the mind.
"How come your younger sister isn't so fond of me?" He asked out of no where.
"Oh, she doesn't really like a lot of people."
"She likes that blonde boy with the douchebag-sunglasses."
"Yeah," Lindsay chuckled. "That's her boyfriend Dave. Maybe it's just any of my friends.. My few friends.."
"She likes Dirk. Something about a team?"
"Dirk and her have a rather interesting sibling like relationship on their own." Lindsay laughed this time. He nodded and smiled.
"I guess it's my fault. I guess I was rather hateful growing up with her."
"Oh, I don't believe that, you're so sweet. "
She shrugged. "I wasn't hateful to her, just others. I detested a lot of people. "
He nodded. "I still don't believe that."
They kept walking around.
It was silent for a little bit. Not a bad silent, but a silence of rather peace and just walking. When they got to a point where people had stopped being so close, Kane found this was a good time.
"Lindsay..." He said. She looked up at him, and before she could answer, he pushed her against a wall, closest to them. It was dark and there was no street lamp near them.
"Um.. Kane..? What are you-"
He cut her off by capturing her mouth with his own. She was completely surprised by this action, and it took her an actual moment to realize what was happening. She pulled a away but Kane found she did this too soon. He had force on her arms. He did it again. This time she couldn't pull away, her head was being held forced by the wall. She had absolutely no idea what to do. This isn't what she wanted.
In fact after thinking about it, she didn't know him well. Not well enough anyways.
Was this some sort of rebound? Not in the dating way to get over someone else but .. In a way of needing another friend? Companion? And now that her and Dirk were slowly breeding up on their wall again, she didn't feel so lonely. She felt rather bad. Using Kane this way. Was she leading him on without even knowing?
After a second or two, Kane tilted his head slightly and slid his hands down to her thighs. She grabbed his hands and finally had the opportunity to pull away from him.
"Kane I.. "
"I don't think you understand the affect you have on people, Lindsay.."
His tone was rather dark now."There is something about you that's so.. Gravitating..."
She paused and tried to step away, but he took her arm. She tensed up again. "I need you.." He mumbled. She looked away and pulled her arm back, crossing her arms.
"You don't need me.""You're right.. I just want you.."
She stepped another step away.
"I.. I have to go back.. (Name) will start to worry.."He stood there and finally nodded. She began making her way back which wasn't so far from where they stood.
Her face was hot.. She didn't really know what to do? Who to tell?
Who would even listen?
