This is gonna have a ton of time skips sorry

That night she stared up at her ceiling.

She laid with her arms across her chest, feeling rather empty.

This was weird..

She couldn't even really be angry. She would choose Jake over herself too he's a cutie.

She just didn't understand why he couldn't tell her.

"I don't want to be with you."

Wow, how hard was that..?

Maybe it was the fact she and her younger sister, whom was dating his younger brother, where living under the same roof? Because they shared the same bed?

She would leave, it wasn't her house.

Maybe she just should. Her and her younger sister would leave to an apartment. Yeah... And she could take on two jobs if she had too.

Doing this before school started was a good idea. She would even be so kind as to keep in the same district as the one Dave was going to.

--

"I don't understand, what's wrong with where we live now?" (Name) asked.

You sighed as you browsed the apartments.

"Love .. It's complicated. Okay...? Just trust me.."

"I like living with them, it's fun and not so lonely and boring, being home alone doesn't suck."

Lindsay felt her heart tug.

She hated this, but she didn't want to stay in a relationship where she was the odd one out. Dirk deserved to be happy, even if it had her out of the picture.

She rubbed her arm up and down slightly.

--
"Hey.."

Lindsay looked up to see a young boy with pale blonde hair standing in her doorway.

"Hi love." She smiled.

He came in and sat down beside her on the bed.

"(Name) told me you're looking for somewhere else to go... "

"Yeah, sorry love." She fake-smiled and put a hand on his shoulder.

"The Striders too much for ya?" He half-joked.
She giggled a little bit.

"Nah," she ran a hand through his hair. He did have nice, soft hair. "It's just... This will be easier. Don't worry we aren't going too far. You'll still see (Name)." Lindsay offered a friendly smile.

He nodded. He didn't want to push her. She looked a little stressed.

"Well you know Dirk is going to flip, he cares too much for you."

She wanted to believe it was true. His little brother said so, anyways.

"Yeah, I'm sure he will."

"He will. He loves you a lot, too much if you ask me." You both laughed.

"Anyway, I just wanted to make sure you're okay.." He stood up from the bed.

Admin smiled and nodded her head. "Thanks, Strider."

--
"So you really weren't kidding..." Her little sister prodded as she moved the last box on to the new living room floor.

The apartment was nice. It was small but not too small. It had two rooms, and a bathroom. A laundry room and a kitchen and living room. It had plenty of space for two.
