Gdi Lindsay you literally just calmed the fluff with a fight.

Well my mistake I didn't realize this would be relevant to the future of how this will take to the PLoT.

Also I owe this to my friend. (*winks at Katy*) And you readers. I know you've been waiting for this. I hope this brightens your day some if it isn't bright. .. Idk XD

It was slowly showing that she was pregnant. She stared at herself in the mirror to see the small bump had already formed.

She sighed. There was absolutely no getting out of this. If she wore a shirt and stood up more straight then usual then she should be fine for now, but it would be a temporary solution.

"You have to tell him." You say to her, leaning against her doorframe. She looked up and lowered her shirt. "I know.."
"When do you plan to?"

She looked down for a minute. "Um... Maybe today honestly..."
You brightened up. "Really now?"
She nodded. "I don't believe I have much of a choice."
You frowned at her. "Why do you sound so weary of it?"
"I always think of the worst scenarios possible, so as of always, I fear the worst in his reaction."
You laughed to yourself.
"I don't think he's going to be upset with you. I mean you walked out on him and here he is still back and forth running in your life."

She shrugged and slid on her shoes.

If she told him she needed to talk to him, he would get worried probably and never throughout the whole day, forget. So then she couldn't talk herself out of it.

She sighed.
Once he had finished with his fellow co-worker, she stepped in his direction.

"Hey Dirk..." She called, a few feet behind. He turned around to see her heading his way. He smiled and waited for her.

"Hello." He greeted her.
She smiled and stood before him. She barley reached his chin. "Hello love!"
He put a hand on her shoulder and pulled her in for a hug. After a moment he let her go.

"Do you mind if like.. Later today.. We talk?"

He frowned. "Is... Everything okay?"
She smiled and nodded. "Yeah!" She lowered her voice. "I just feel better when there isn't so many people around.."

Dirk smiled again and nodded. "Well then sure."

With that they parted ways for the rest of the day, since they worked on two different floors. Lindsay was very shaky about this all day, imagining the worst of things. She had come to the conclusion there was no way he could be excited about it.

This was slowly beginning to distract her from the work at hand. She was scared, honestly. The build up was awful. She couldn't go back on this now, he wouldn't let her.

As they day went on, her shift came to an end. Her shift ended an hour earlier than Dirk's, so he promised to come to her apartment when he was off.

She clocked out for the night, and drove herself home. It was around 6 ish. Today, you decided you would go with Dave to his house instead. Since maybe Lindsay still had to talk to him. You're a good sister. You little think ahead.

So now currently did she sit on her couch. She moved herself into a lying position to stare at the ceiling. After at least 15 minutes of lying there, was there a knocking at her door. She sighed and stood. There was literally no way she could go back now.

She slowly made her trek to the door and opened it. There stood the giant himself. He smiled at her. "Why hello~" he greeted. She laughed and moved out of the way to let him in. "Nice to see you again. How was your day?"

He shrugged.
"Long... And yours?"

"Too short.."
She mumbled, but then shrugged.
After a bit of conversation, the topic had been finally brought up. There was a deep creasing feeling in Lindsay's stomach.

"Alright, Linds. What is it?" Dirk said, losing his smile. "What's wrong?"
She frowned too. She rubbed her hands together nervously.

"Do you remember that one time we went to like.. Costco or something, and you saw that little girl and you thought she was like.. Really cute?"
He nodded.
"Heh.. I remember."
She nervously laughed. "That was so strange and so cute at the same time. I didn't even think you liked kids..." She was rambling to avoid any means of this.
"So uh.. I'm curious.."
Dirk seemed to be getting a bit suspicious.
"Yeah...?"
She looked down.
"What is your exact opinion on them? Children, I mean."
Dirk lifted her chin back up to keep her looking at him.
"They're cute.. I'm not terrible around them."
He offered a small smile.
"It was a lot of fun raising baby Dave."
She smiled as well. It was obvious she was nervous, but she couldn't tell if Dirk was picking up on it or not.
"Well that's really good. Since ah..." She trailed off.
"Are you alright?" He frowned sympathetically and lifted his hand to her shoulder.
She nodded. "Yeah! Yeah just a little off game since oh you know. I'm pregnant."

Dirk stopped and dropped his hand from her shoulder.
"You... You aren't joking.. Are you?"
She shook her head. Her heart pounded within her throat.
Kane.. Kane wasn't kidding then? When he said what he did on the day they fought.
"Lindsay.."
"I've checked. I was informed. It's yours..." She slightly mumbled.

She looked down and held tightly to her arm. Dirk lifted her chin back up and smiled brightly. There was no containing. He ran a hand through his hair.

"Do you mean it? I.. I'm the-"
"Yeah.." She nodded.
"But then again, who else would it be?"
Dirk opened his mouth to say something but decided against it and instead wrapped his arms tightly around her shoulders. "Do you know what this means?" He asked.
She pulled away and looked up to him. She still felt shaky and nervous.
"I'm going to be a fucking father!" He excitedly squeezed her.

A small smile spread on her face.
"You.."
She pulled away, unable to hide the grin.
"You're not like.. Upset? Or unexcited?" He dropped his smile for a second but instantly picked it back up.
"Unexcited? What? No. "He shook his head.
"I'm getting the fucking miracle of life. No, I'm not unexcited. "

Lindsay ran a hand through her hair and smiled at the ground.
"You're taking this ten times better than I thought you would."

Dirk leaned down and pressed his lips against Lindsay's in an act of extremely excited. He didn't necessarily mean to, just pure reactive-habit

Lindsay was caught off guard but didn't have a problem kissing him back.
After becoming aware of his actions, he pulled away.

"I'm sorry."

Lindsay shook her head and smiled. She took his hand and lifted it to her stomach. She lifted her shirt slightly and placed his hand on the small bump that had already begun to form.

Dirk's smile grew again.
"Oh man. Oh man that's cute as hell." He said, moving his hand around a bit.

Lindsay giggled. He seemed like that of a 5 year old excited over something really stupid.
