Calm Night

"This is dangerous..." You said as you held on tightly to Dave's hand. Yet you were calm.

"It's fun." He responded.

You where at the very tip top of your apartment building.

You did this a lot now. You just liked to 'complain' to Dave. He smiled and nudged your arm.
"And anyways, you do this all the time."

You nodded with a smile.

You both sat on the ledge of the building. It was high up. 9 stories tall. Dave put a hand around your waist and looked down. "Scary drop."

You nodded.

It was late. Around 10ish. Dirk was probably on his way to get him, anyways. He mentioned it before, anyway. For the moment, you two were just existing. You rested your head on his shoulder. He smelled nice. Like some type of male mixture between Axe and Strider. You've never mentioned it before, but you should.

"You smell nice." You said.
"I know."
You laughed. He was good at complimenting himself, he didn't need your help.

Suddenly it became very cold. Very, very, cold.

You shivered slightly.

"Cold?" He asked with a smirk to his face. You couldn't see his face currently since you were staring over the horizon, watching the sun begin to fade behind it. You could just tell by his tone.

"No, I just shivered because I'm so happy to be here with you." You had hardcore sarcasm behind your voice.

He laughed and pressed his lips to your head.

The wind picked up. You watched your (Hair Length) flow with the wind. The (Hair Color) casting in between shades of itself.

The sun was slowly falling behind the horizon as if it were being pulled by a thin piece of string. You caught yourself smiling. You couldn't help it, it was pretty.

You didn't even notice the clouds forming behind you two. You looked around and noticed clouds peaking around. You turned even further and found there was a large bundle of clouds together to make a mega cloud of dark grey.

It was darker already.

"Hey I think my brother is here." He broke your silence.

"Why do you say that?" You asked, looking up at him slightly.

"Because he texted me and said he's here."

You nodded and pulled away, getting off of the ledge. You stretched your arms slightly. He got off too. He grabbed your hand and headed for the door. "Too bad you couldn't stay too long."

"(Name)," he smiled. "I stayed here since school let out with you."
You shrugged.
"I enjoy your company."

You two headed for the elevator. It was creepy up here. There were no rooms, just stairs leading to the top. The walls looked as if they hadn't been painted for years, the stair railing was rusty, and the lights hung down from the ceiling a tad bit. They looked old and sometimes they flickered. You only came up here during the day because you where sort of afraid. Unless Dave was with you. In fact if anyone would come up here with you at night, you'd visit more often. Your sister, Kendall, Dirk, John, that girl Terezi, the basic hoe from class.

You didn't feel sleepy at all, which is weird because you've begun to fall into the habit of sleeping the day away. Well... Whenever you're not at school, that is.

School is rather fun. Not the school work, anyway. The fact that you didn't go into this new school alone was a nice add-on. Dave was with you. You saw him first period everyday. Geometry was double-blocked. You also have Kendall and John too. They're fun people to be around. They make a hella cute couple. Also this new girl you met once seems like a lot of fun. She sits at lunch with you on the days you have A lunch. She's a fun person. She tells you about how Dave and her used to date and she made a mistake because Dave is the strangest yet coolest of people. She seems to have no end, but it's in good intention.

Dave and you would part ways at the next floor. This was your floor.
He poked your side and pecked your cheek.
You smiled. "Bye, Dave."

He smirked that same ol' Strider smirk and waved to you as the elevator closed.

You stopped smiling. There is no need to smile if no one is around to see it, right?

Wrong. You couldn't stop smiling. You thought yourself to be very lucky to have such an interesting boyfriend. You purposely walked at a slow pace to your apartment. To indulge in this moment just a few seconds longer.

You made it to the end of the hallway, where your apartment sat. You turned the knob and forced yourself in.

Your sister sat on the living room floor, papers scattered and a laptop in front of her. Folders where randomly thrown.

She was rapidly typing on the laptop, and occasionally writing, all of this happening in like.. 30 seconds.

"Wow, obsessed much?"
You smirked. She didn't respond. You frowned and sat down on the couch. Luckily this apartment came with this couch, because your nice furniture burned in that fire. Damn fire.

You didn't dare ask what was wrong. It was clear she was stressed.
"Will you be okay?" You asked instead.

She sighed and looked up at you, but then back down. "I'll be fine. Right now I am busy."

You sat there for a moment and then nodded. You got up to go to your room when there was a knock.

It was obvious your sister had no intention on answering. You turned direction to the door and opened it.

Before you stood a tall, very attractive, man. He had dark hair. "Ah.. Hello! You must be (Name). I'm looking for your older sister."

A random attractive man standing at your door, searching for your less attractive sister? That happens never.

"Yeah uh.. We aren't interested in anything you're offerin-"

"Kane?" Your sister said. You turned to see her staring up from her laptop with a confused face.
'Kane', smiled brightly. "Hey!"
You moved over and let him in, shutting the door behind him.

"What are you doing here?" Lindsay asked.

He sat down on the couch in front of her, since there was no room to sit anywhere near her.

"I came to show you this." He pulled a paper out of his back pocket and unfolded it, showing her.

You raised an eyebrow.
"What is thi-" She stopped mid-sentence.

"Oh. My." She kept reading, and suddenly, a smile appeared on her face. "You finished all of this?!"

This 'Kane' man nodded. "All in one night."

Lindsay stood and hugged him before he could even get off the couch. You frowned. Who the heck deck is this homie?

"Kane you're amazing!!"

"Let us celebrate." He said, standing up.
She frowned. "I .. I still have a lot to do.."

After some back and forth discussion, he convinced her.

"I .. I can't leave my sister alone though." Her excited expression died down to a frown.

Aw.. Poor older sister. She looked really stressed.

"Nah I'll be fine here! I was just going to shower and get to bed."

She hesitated but smiled.

"Go out with your friend and have a good time." You said, stepping close to her and poking her side.

She laughed. "Alright."

She grabbed her jacket from the table. "Don't forget to lock the door." She said as she shut the door. You smiled and locked both locks on the door and headed for your room to grab some clothes to change into. Nice night clothes for sleeping.

You still weren't tired.
