Dave Strider X Reader (A Game of Pretend)

July(Part 2)

You guys ended up eating at Subway. Oh God you loved subway. (If you don't then pretend you do. And if you don't we aren't friends anymore.)

It was about 8 now and it was finally time to celebrate the independence of your country!

Currently you where with Dave at the cliff again. The park was right beside it so you where still with the crowd. "This is so cool," you said as you watched the sun set slowly.
"Yeah man the exciting part of the fireworks show starts around Mid-Night. They start at 10 and build up its so rad."

You smiled. Dave had a real passion for fireworks.

You where watching all of the little kids down below just being kids when you felt warmth on your hand.

You looked down and Dave had intertwined his fingers with yours. You felt heat dust your face but you couldn't help but smile.

"One of these days, I'll make you mine." He said sort of in a low tone. Your blush went wild.

You looked at Dave and he smiled brightly at you. You giggled. "One of these days you might, Strider." You joked.

You ate a lot of food and stuff mostly watermelon. (If you don't like watermelon OR Subway then just leave)

It was almost mid-Night and Dave was right. The fireworks where great and if this was the build up then you couldn't wait to see what Mid-Night stored.

You two had run around for a few hours and even saw John, and some of their friends. Eventually you two where sitting right back where you started and you waited for 12:00 AM.

"Maybe tomorrow is the day.." Dave said after a moment of you two sitting in the bliss silence.

"What?" You asked.

Everyone began counting down in unison to Mid-Night.

"10!"

"9!"

"8!"

They all chanted.

"You know.."

"5!"
"4!"
"3!"

"When I make you mine." He finally said.

"2!"

"1!"

"Mid-Night!" Everyone chanted and went wild. And when they screamed Mid-Night Dave had leaned forward and captured your mouth in his. Well technically it was tomorrow.

You where quite surprised at first and didn't know how to respond but eventually you slipped into his kiss and returned the favor.

He pulled back and had a blush on his face but a huge smile. As did you.

He was right. The fireworks where absolutely amazing now.

You watched in awe.

Dave had wrapped his arm around your shoulders. "It's safe to say you are mine now?" He sort of asked. You giggled and nodded.

He looked down and you followed his gaze.

Your sister and his brother where standing off to the sidelines, watching. Dave gave the two a thumbs up and you blushed.

This was a pretty rad 4th. Yeah.
