Today was the day I had been dreading since the twins were born. Today was their first day kindergarten. I know what your thinking, at least you get some alone time. That's not how I see it though. I see it as my babies are growing up and I don't want that. Me and Ness just woke up and we are fixing to go wake them up. River was definitely a daddy's girl, so I am going to go wake her up. Lake however is a mommy's boy. So Ness is going to wake him up. I walk into River's room to see my babygirl sleeping peacefully in her big girl bed as she calls it.
J- River wake up princess
River just groans like she always does.
J- come on baby we gotta get up
R- no daddy i sleep more
J- I'm gonna make pancakes
She pops right up. One thing about River is that she loves pancakes.
J- alrighty now come here and give daddy a hug
She shuffles right over to me and gives me a big hug
R- good morning daddy
J- good morning pretty girl
She just blushes at the nickname
I pick her up and we walk to the twins bathroom and ness was already in there with Lake who appeared to be very grumpy. I let ness handle getting their teeth brushed and stuff like that while I go downstairs and make pancakes. A few minutes later they all come down stairs and come sit at the table.
J- goodmorning bud
L- morning
J- what wrong bud
R- Bubba is grumpy
I just laugh and similar my daughter is to my wife in the sense of answering a question for someone.
J- alrighty we have pancakes for everyone
We all sit around the table for about 30 minutes while the kids eat. Ness was going to get Lake dressed and I was going to get River dressed. We picked their outfits out last night so this shouldn't be to hard. River was very excited so when I told her that we were going to get ready she bolted up the stairs. I met her in her room and got her dressed in this:

She loved this dress so it only made since to wear it for her first day of school. After she got dressed we walked to the bathroom.
N- my baby you look so pretty
J- bud you look so handsome
R&L- thank you
N- alrighty how do you want me to do your hair ma'am?
R- I want quils!! ( curls )
Nessa plugged in the curling iron and curled Rivers hair while I put some gel and stuff in Lakes hair. After everyones hair was done we walk down stairs for some pictures. Nessa bought them a first day of school sign and they filled it out and its was like an all about me thing. After we were done with pictures we got in the car and headed to their school.
J- River babygirl I want you to have an amazing day and make lots of new friends and learn lots ok? I love you so much princess!
R- I love you to daddy
And I hugged her and gave her a kiss
J- buddy you look so handsome! I want you to have lots a fun, be good, and make tons of new friends. and also look after your sister ok?
L- I will
J- I love you bubba
L- I love you to daddy
The kids say by to nessa and then they were gone. I see nessa crying so I pull her in to a tight hug
J- baby they will be fine ok!
N- ok
J- please don't cry I hate seeing you cry
N-ok
she says while laughing. I wipe her stray tears and then we get in the car still not being able to believe that our babies are growing up so fast.
A/N- Do yall want a Pt.2 with twins but maybe a different storyline other than school?? Also leave suggestions, I'm desperate.
