Josh's POV:

Ever since I was little I have always hated needles. I had to go get all of my shots and stuff like that for senior year. This is the first year that they have done this and of course it has to be the year i'm going to be a senior. I pushed it off as long as I could but school starts in a few weeks and I have to get all of the paperwork turned in. Charly said she would go with me cause she needs to get hers too. To be honest I was petrified. Charly knows about my fear of needles and has gone with me to get stuff like this done before so hopefully things will go smoothly.

J- Mom I'm going to pick up Charly

I said walking over to her and kissing her on the cheek

JM- ok by honey, be safe and try not to freak out too much

J- I'll try not too

I say walking out the door and getting into my car. I decided to call Charly to let her know I'm on my way.

C- hi babe

J- hey baby I just left my house so I'll be there soon

C- ok bubby just text me when you get here

J- I will

C- bye love you, drive safe

J- bye baby love you

I hang up and focus on the road. He house isn't far from mine so it didn't take long. I pull into her driveway and text her. A few moments later she comes running out of her house. She opened up the door with a smile.

C- hi bubba

J- hi babygirl

She climbed in and gave me the best hug she could over the console.

J- You're in a good mood

C- well I get to see you so why wouldn't I be!

She said with a giggle

J- you're so cute baby

I said slapping her thigh slightly. After a few minutes she grabbed my hand and interlaced or fingers. She drew soothing circles on my thumb cause I guess she just knew I was nervous. It took about 20 minutes to get to the doctor's office and we were still a bit early so we sat in the car for a little bit.

C- josh

J- hmmm

I said turning to look at her

C- don't be nervous. It's going to be ok. I'm going to be with you the whole time and I won't leave your side.

She said soothingly 

J- I'll try not to be but I can't make any promises

C- just try your best to stay calm

J- I stay as calm a I can be

We sat in comfortable silence for a few more minutes

C- I think we need to start heading in

J- Can we just stay here for a little bit longerrrrr

I said in a whiny tone

C- bubby c'mon let's go get it over with

She gets out of the car so I slowly follow behind. I lock the car and she puts her hand for me to grab. I take her hand and she starts rubbing soothing circles again. I pull the door open and hold it for her.

C- thank you sir

J- anytime babygirl

We walk up to the frontdesk and an talk to the lady.
