R E S C U E

Chloe's POV-

I was trapped in the office. I ran from wall to wall trying to find a way out. I saw a window and immediately went towards it. I pulled the blinds up and lifted the window up just a little bit before finally giving up. The lights flickered and I walked over to a table and pushed it towards the door so no one could get in. I found anything that I could put onto the table that would weigh it down. I went back towards the window when I saw him. My boyfriend Josh that I had called a few moments ago to come get me pulling up.

C- JOSH! JOSH I'M UP HERE

I screamed out the tiny crack I had made in the window. I looked back for a slight moment and saw the silhouette of a man in the covered window. I internally started to panic but I had to keep myself calm.

Josh's POV-

Chloe called me a few minutes ago to come and get her and I rushed over to where she was. I pulled up and got out of the car. I walked up to the front door and it was locked. I looked around for anywhere else that I could get in at. I heard the shattering of glass and Chloe's voice yelling at me.

C- JOSH! C'MON! JOSH I'M UP HERE!

She yelled down to me

J- I'M COMING BABY

I yelled back to her. 

C- JOSH YOU HAVE TO GET ME OUT

I ran over to the wall and climbed up the pole looking things up to the window to where she was.

C- Get me out of here

I could hear the panic in her voice. I heard banging from inside the room and picked up the pace.

C- there's somebody in here. C'MON JOSH HURRY. There's somebody in here he's trying to get me .

J- I'm coming

I had one foot still on the poles while one was on a small ledge below me. I pulled up on the window to make a big enough gap for her to escape through. She climbed out and we both starting climbing down the poles. 

C- I'm sorry I shouldn't've panicked but when the lights when out I- josh

she said while running over to me. I fell to the ground and started to breath heavily. She called 911. It was all a blur but I soon saw red flickering lights. They hooked me up to the air and and IV system and put me on the bed.

C- Should we call your mom?

J- let's wait til we get to the hospital yeah

C- Josh 

J- it's all gonna be ok alright

C- this is all my fault

J- no you were locked in a room, the lights went out. I understand the panic

C- I don't know how much more I can take of this

I grabbed her hands wanting her to feel loved and safe when I told her.

J- Princess I didn't tell you because then I didn't want you to worry about me 

C- tell me what?

She said tightening her grip slightly on my hands

C- what's going on?

J- Baby I didn't just come home to visit you and my family. I had some tests done

C- what's wrong are you sick?

J- we don't have any results back yet. It's my heart

Her eyes went wide and tear began to form in her eyes and in mine

J- It's just stress, I'll get it under control

C- there's something wrong with your heart why would you keep this from me?

J- Cuz I ain't going anywhere. You hear me? Your stuck with me for the long haul. hey

I lifted my hand up for her to come in for a hug. She held me tight and I held her even tighter. Her tears of fear and sadness soaked through my shirt. The paramedics loaded me up into the ambulance and took me to the hospital. Chloe called my mom on the way there and she met us there. I was in the hospital for about a week so they could do a few more tests. They gave me lot's of medicine and Chloe has been making sure It take every bit of it. There no doubt everything that happened that night scared her but at this point she is just trying to be strong. I know deep down she is struggling. Once I'm able to fully operate we are going to change gears and start taking care of her but right now she is playing the role of nurse Chloe.
