cassie's pov:

since josh and i have moved into our new house we haven't really seen very many people. most of my family live in a different state, his family is obviously in canada and we haven't had the time to go out and see our friends. today my sister emma was flying to la to come see us. i am so beyond excited to see her because i haven't seen her in such a long time. i know she would be proud of the life that i have made for myself. josh and i are currently waiting at the airport for her. she texted me and told me that her plane had landed and she should be there very soon. we walk to her gate and wait. after about 10 minutes of waiting  i see her. i run up to her and give her a hug.

c- emma!! i missed you so much

e- cassie, long time no see huh

she says laughing slightly at my excitement

c- omg how have you been?

i ask as we walk to get her bag

e- i've been doing pretty good, how about you?

c- emma i'm the happiest i've ever been 

e- i'm so glad to hear that

we got her bags and went outside where josh was waiting with the car as he left when i found her. i climbed in the front seat and smile largely at him.

e- hi joshy

she while touching his arm

j- uh um hey emma

he plugs in the gps. her rests a hand on my thigh and i run my finger tips slowly up and down his arm while i talk with emma. the whole car ride home was spent catching up with emma. she was only going to be here for a few days so i had to soak up every moment. after about an hour in the car we finally arrive home. josh grabs her bag from the back and i lead her inside.

c- welcome to our home

i say excitedly 

e- oh wow cas this is beautiful

c- thank you em that really means a lot

since she is my older sister it really meant a lot that she like josh and i's house. josh comes in the door and we lead emma to the guest room.

c- we'll leave you to settle in. we go to dinner soon so i'll let you know when it's time to leave.

e- thanks. joshy what a gentleman for getting my bags.

he gives her an awkward smile and we both walk out closing the door behind us. we decided to go lay down for a bit. we walk upstairs to our room and lay on the bed.

c- i'm so excited for dinner. i'm starvinggggg

i say rolling over on top of him

j- me too baby

we laid there for a second and then i rolled off. 

j- you ok?

he questioned

c- yeah i'm just hot

j- oh ok

he said while chuckling 

j- i'm gonna go down stairs and get some water do you want anything while i'm down there?

he asked

c- can you get me some water please

j- of course baby

he said while placing a soft kiss on my lips
