Josh's POV-

I woke up around 7 am to Emily crying from her room. Emily is my 2 year old daughter. I decided that I needed to let nicole sleep in as today was a big day for her. I walk into Emily's room and turn on the light. She doesn't sleep in a crib but she does sleep in a bed with railing. She knows how to get out but she just refuses to do so and normally either calls for one of us or crys until we get in there.

J- good morning sunshine

E- good morning dada

she says while stretching and wiping her eyes

J- how about we go down stairs and have some breakfast 

E- pancake?

J- sure we'll have pancakes

i say while laughing a little bit

I get her out of the bed and we walk to the stairs. I grab her hand and we make our way down the stairs. She almost fell and then proceeded to say and I quote " woah dada i'm gonna tell mommy that you pushed me down the stairs and then I used my big girl muscles and saved myself". How dare she place the blame on me like that. We walk into the living room and I turn on sofia the first and then walk into the kitchen and started making pancakes. 

E- MOMMYYYY

she screamed and then I heard the pounding of little feet

N- hi baby

E- guess what

N- what

E- daddy pushed me down the stairs and then I used my big girl muscles and I saved myself

N- OMG no way

I always loved the way she got so into what emily was saying even if she believed it or not

N- I'm gonna have to go talk to daddy about this

E- you get him mommy

N- I will don't you worry

A few moment I felt cold hands wrap around my skin

J- good morning baby

I said as I turned around to kiss her 

N- good morning

J- I take it miss thang over there told you about her tragic morning

N- yeah what's up with you "pushing her down the stairs"

she said making  coffee and pausing to make little air quotes 

J- well we were walking down the stairs the morning and I was holding her hand I promise and she missed the stair kind of and then about face planted but I made sure she didn't 

I said while flipping some of the pancakes

N- well she really twisted that one

J- yeah but whatever makes her happy

N- mmm this is really good

J- I wanna try

I say making pouty lips

N- you don't even like coffee

J- well I do right now so gimmie some

She brought it over to me and I tried it. If I liked coffee then I bet it would be good but I don't so it was a stretch

J- mmm delicious

I said trying to sound convincing 

N- hmm I bet so
