The sun rose through the white curtains in room 13 early that morning.
Rubbing her eyes, Orchid looked around expecting to see her lonely room at the orphanage, but instead saw her luxury compartment.
Well, her new room in the Mairy-Unique was literally lonely because it was her private room, but it didn't feel lonely.
"Morning Orchid." She heard Mairy's chirpy voice as the curtains were drawn back revealing the blue sky adorned with puffy white clouds.
"Morning Mairy." Orchid yawned as she got out of bed.
The clock on her bedside table showed 7:29am, meaning she had about an hour to get ready before meeting Everbloom.
She walked into the bathroom where she brushed her teeth.
She took a quick shower, which honestly felt like the best shower she ever had.
She got changed into another blue dress (this one had a brown belt going around it unlike the one she wore yesterday) and combed through her hair before putting the demaver in, yet again met with a jolt.
By the time she felt she was ready for the day, it was about 8:20, so she decided to make her way to Everbloom's room.
The Mairy-Unique was very quiet, so she assumed it must be a working day for those who lived here like Mr Passer.
She arrived at room 22 just as Everbloom walked out.
"Morning Orchid, you wanna head to breakfast?" Everbloom asked as she closed the door behind her.
"Sure." Orchid replied.
The two walked over to the dining hall which had plates filled with pancakes, waffles, hash browns and bowls of fresh fruit ready for them.
"So um, what are we going to do today?" Orchid asked Everbloom who was chewing on a piece of waffle.
"Well, the Mairy-Unique is stopping at the Topaz Cliffs for the day, pretty good tourist destination, we could probably just sightsee and do some activities there I guess, seeing that you only arrived in Etarnaya yesterday." Everbloom replied, putting her plate away.
The dining hall was also very empty, the only people being them and a few people who were just quickly grabbing something to eat before heading off.
"So, um, when does the Mairy-Unique, you know, land?" Orchid asked, taking a last bite out of her apple before throwing the core into the bin.
"Well, it should start to land pretty soon, we should make our way over to the doors." Everbloom said, leading Orchid over to the entrance through which Orchid and Mr Passer had entered the Mairy Unique.
They waited outside in the hallway, the Mairy-Unique bouncing up and down as it landed.
Eventually it stopped and the door leading outside opened.
They seemed to be in some sort of rocky area, which explained some of the bumps.
"Come on, we should head off to make most of the day." Everbloom walked down the staircase, Orchid following her.
The air was cool and misty, with the ever so slightest feeling of moistness in the air.The sun was shining and Orchid hoped it would be a less stressful day than yesterday.
The two walked down a cobbled path with orange leaved trees around the side.
Orchid wasn't really expecting much, but she nearly had a heart attack when she saw the landscape at the end of the path.
In front of them laid a small rustic village filled with more of the trees with orange leaves, but the most shocking, but also beautiful, thing was that the village was placed literally above the edge of a cliff, making it look like that if a mouse jumped on it, the entire village would tumble into the depths of the clear blue sea below.
Underneath the overhang were long roots reaching out into the water, with shards of topaz hanging from the ends of the roots.
But what seemed the most magical of all was the tiny floating islands that floated near the edge of the overhang, looking as if they were hanging on a thread.
"Well, welcome to Topaz Cliffs." Everbloom said with a smile.
