"But, Miss Elvina, what do I do, what's happening!" Orchid said.
"Get to the assembly hall now, the Shadow is coming, and it's already in the school." Miss Elvina conjured up a green portal, leading to the front of the assembly hall.
"But-"
"Just go!"
Orchid jumped through the portal, a light tingling feeling went through her as she landed on the other side.
She looked back to see Miss Elvina close the portal with a flick of her hand before she disappeared.
It was only now that Orchid could hear the buzzing alarms ringing in the background.
"Orchid! Over here!"Orchid looked over to see Everbloom waving frantically among the hoard of panicking students running to the assembly hall, Iris standing next to her in a dreamy trance.
"Everbloom! What's going on!" Orchid ran over to her.
"I have no idea what happened! We were just practising our magic in the arena when all of a sudden a bunch of shadows came out of no-where and started spreading out all over the room, we barely got out of there!" Everbloom gasped for air.
"Perhaps they were coming for you Orchid?" Iris said, a shock to Orchid.
"You know!" Orchid gasped, looking at Everbloom who seemed as shocked as she was.
"Of course I do, us Star Witches see everything, you can't hide from me Orchid." Iris said before becoming lost in her world of thoughts again.
"Is, what, I have no words I'm sorry, I didn't know that she could do that last year." Everbloom whispered, for the first time Orchid saw a glimpse of vulnerability on her friend's face.
"EVERYONE INSIDE THE HALL NOW." Mr Greymount (Miss Elvina's representative) stormed into the hall of panicking students.
Everyone eventually grew quiet, a few whispers being passed around, as everyone moved into the assembly hall.
Making sure that everyone was safely seated, Mr Greymount cleared his throat, " Now, I suppose you all should have an idea of what is happening, I can assure you that we have this all under control, I am going to have you all return home early today as we assess the situation-" Mr Greymount suddenly went quiet.
Orchid looked around to see a green hazy mist at the entrance of the hall, Miss Elvina standing in it.
"Students, stay seated, teachers, may I have a word with you." Miss Elvina walked over to the corner of the hall, the teachers slowly following her.
The hall was quiet as Miss Elvina spoke to the teachers, everyone in shock that Miss Elvina appeared in person.
She seemed to be whispering something to the teachers with a grave expression on her face, and Orchid could only imagine what they might have been conversing.
"THE PERSON WHO DID THIS IS INSIDE THIS VERY HALL!" Mr Nighthowl yelled in shock.
Orchid didn't have to imagine anymore.
Miss Elvina sighed and buried her head in her hands as hall went into chaos, students yelling and screaming.
"EVERYONE QUIET." Miss Elvina magnified her voice, echoing through the giant hall.
Everyone seemed to simultaneously go silent at the same time, in fear of their angered principal.
"Now that all of you know the situation," Miss Elvina glared at Mr Nighthowl, "I need you all to calm down. In a few minutes I am going to have to get you all to return home as me and the teachers can discuss this in private (another glare). School will return to normal tomorrow and I can assure you that we will be monitoring the school for you safety."
Miss Elvina finished talking and then disappeared in a haze of green mist.
"Well, everyone, calmly leave the hall, stay safe." Mr Greymount and the other teachers exited the hall.
Everyone started murmuring between themselves, a nervous aura around the hall, a spine-tingling feeling.
Orchid looked around at the nervous students, though one person seemed to be surprisingly calm.
A person with an ice cold expression and icy pale blue eyes.
