Everbloom led Orchid to the front of the school where there was a small booth set up, probably for signing in.

Students were starting to arrive, whether appearing out of no-where in a flash of light or flying down from the skies, talking to their friends and showing off their magical abilities of what they learnt over the holidays, and Orchid felt a pang of jealousy that she never had the opportunity to learn about any of this all her life.

"Come on, let's sign in." Everbloom said, and the two stood behind a girl who was trying to sign in.

"It worked last year! Honestly, you better let me in! I, Iris Lunar Comet Starglow must enter!" The girl ordered, and flicked her smooth black hair.

"Iris, you aren't allowed to enter if you haven't put your badge on." Everbloom sighed.

Iris looked down at her indigo cloak and groaned to see that she indeed had forgot to put the badge on.

"Well I KNEW that Everbloom Spring, I was merely just practising for the talents lesson, everyone knows that Star Witches should learn to use the art of drama to be able to successfully command a meteor to FALL ON YOUR HEAD!" Iris huffed and went through the security.

"It's a METEORITE when it enters the atmosphere!" Everbloom yelled back at her.

Looking at Orchid's quizzical expression, Everbloom laughed.

"Don't worry, me and Iris are good friends, she's just a bit dramatic." Everbloom explained.

They walked through security, but before they could enter the school they were stopped by a teacher.

"I presume you must be Orchid Sunriser." A melodious voice called from behind them.

Orchid turned around to see a young woman standing behind them.

She had hazel eyes with glimmers of white in it, and her hair was a silvery blonde, adorned with a crown of leaves.

She was wearing a casual, yet professional looking knee-length green dress with sparkles occasionally shining in the light.

"Um, yes Miss?" Orchid asked.

"I'll be seeing you very soon." The woman said and walked into the school.

"Do you know who that was?" Orchid asked Everbloom who was gasping in shock.

"Orchid, that is the principal of the school, Miss Elvina, I've been going to the school for three years and I have only seen her twice at most! You ask anyone, and they would say the same!" Everbloom said in disbelief.

"Anyways, we should go inside, the assembly will start soon." Everbloom shook her head and walked inside, Orchid following her in.

"Well there you are! Any news for me to know about. For example, who is... this?" Iris looked at Orchid judgementally.

"This is Orchid, she lives in the Mairy-Unique to, so you might see her around while you are staying there for school." Everbloom explained.

"Lovely, pleasure to meet you fellow friend of Everbloom's, I am Iris Lunar Comet Starglow, from the second highest ranking clan of Star Witches (darn those stupid 'Star-watchers', we all know they are a knockoff), I hope we can be good friends." Iris said and put out her hand.

"Nice to meet you too Iris?" Orchid said nervously as she shook Iris's hand.

"Nice ring." Orchid said to Iris who was wearing a silver ring with a dark blue and purple stone on it.

"Thank you, it is a Starglow heirloom." Iris smiled and flicked her hair out of her face.

"Cool, now you two are the best of friends, let's go to the assembly." Everbloom said and walked off.

"How dare you walk off first! I, Iris Lunar Comet Starglow refuse to be treated like this!" Iris ran off after her.

Orchid grinned and followed them, if everyone at the school was nice, well, considering that Iris was Iris, she would have no problem fitting in.

Little did she know the she was completely wrong.
