"A ring, a pin, a pendant I find. Two stones made of magic, one dark and one light. Bring it together and soon it will seem, all of the world will belong to me. Possessing hearts, and reading minds, soon a power that will be mine. Bring those together and soon it will seem, all of the world will belong to me."
Voices.
That's all I hear.
Memories.
The end.
Nothing else matters.
But there is something out there.
Something I seek.
A bright burst of light-
There was a explosion of golden sparks, the emerald dragon roared with fury before accepting defeat and shrinking into the palm of Orchid's hand.
"You seemed to be distracted today, perhaps there is something on your mind?" Orchid turned around with a light gasp to see Miss Elvina step out of the shadows.
Days had passed, and Orchid had resumed her training, to gain more control of her ability, at Davianna she would battle against the emerald dragon, at the Mairy-Unique she would practise her technique with her wand.
She felt this power inside of her, this beautiful unique feeling she didn't have before, it felt light and uplifting, as if she was made of the tiny golden sparks she controlled.
"No, not at all, but I suppose, I have been having this, this, dream? But I can't tell whether it is a dream, or nightmare." Orchid stammered.
"A dream? Why, dreams are such curious beings, following you around to present an alternate reality, before they turn into beasts of darkness, so tell me Orchid, what is it that you dream of?" Miss Elvina asked with a curious smile on her face, a rare appearance, this being the first time Orchid saw a glint of emotion, a person hidden behind the mask of maturity.
"This song, or poem, an incantation of some sort? It just keeps repeating, and then all of a sudden a bright burst of light comes and then I wake up." Orchid raked through her memories of the previous nights, the same dream, the same ending, nothing else.
"That does sound like quite the dilemma, I would be distracted too, though there is no need to worry just yet. But, on the other hand, you have been improving on your magic, you've been creating stronger blasts of power, you should be proud of yourself." Miss Elvina replied.
Orchid smiled, she did feel proud of herself, something she would have never felt before in the orphanage, how much her life had changed, it was incomparable to what it would have been if she had stayed at the orphanage, an outcast for eternity.
Miss Elvina brushed back her silvery blonde hair with her pale hand, adorned with detailed silver rings, with green jewels embedded in it.
"Miss Elvina, if you happen to know, do you know how Mr Passer found me?" Orchid asked.
"Hasn't he told you?" Miss Elvina said with a confused expression on her face.
"Told me what?" Orchid replied, wondering what Mr Passer could have told her.
"So pure, hard to find people like you in today's world Orchid Sunriser. Mr Passer is a Gatekeeper, the only one in Etarnaya to be exact. He has the amazing power to see what may be and become, the only connection between the Human Lands, Earth, and Etarnaya, his power can tear a hole in space and rewrite time. Though nothing comes without it's price. You see, he knew who you were since he was gifted these abilities, all he had to do then was come at the right time, and now everything has fell into place." Miss Elvina answered and summoned up a hologram of constellations.
"The stars of the Etarnayan sky have wrote your fate Orchid, though, one day, your power will exceed it, to rewrite not just time but reality itself, the stars and light are in your control, that is what I want to help you with, to reach your full potential."
Orchid was speechless, her mind filled with the words Miss Elvina spoke, though Miss Elvina wasn't expecting an answer, so there they stood, a heavenly silence.
"Orchid. I want you to run." Miss Elvina said.
"Wait, what?" Orchid said, broken out of her trance.
"The school's defences have been broken, though not from the outside. There is danger in the school Orchid. And it's coming for you."
