"Wait, so do you know my family?" Orchid raced over to Via who begin swimming away again.
"Me? Oh not really, though I know you and that is an honour in itself. But I do know about your history, which I believe you deserve to know." Via continued to swim through the cove, the surroundings slowly becoming brighter the further they went.
"My history? I'm sorry to disappoint you but I'm not sure orphanage life is very interesting." Orchid sighed as they seemed to exit the series of coves into a wide open plain of glowing coral and sea grass.
"Oh yes, you still must think that your time in the orphanage is your entire life story! Well Orchid, time has more in store than that considering your past." Via went over to a small hut and held open the door for Orchid.
Orchid tentatively made her way in, it was a small room covered in different exotic plants and mechanisms, in the middle of the room lay a small table, holding a glass terrarium on it, it's inside decorated with different clusters of colourful crystals.
Via followed her in afterwords and closed the door.
Removing the glass case, Via slowly took out the cluster of crystals before placing them in Orchid's hands.
"May your past and future come as one and be revealed." Via said, almost monotonous as a swirling mist sank out of the crystals, circling around Orchid, a hazy silver.
The swirling mist slowly began to grow larger and larger, removing the rest of the room from Orchid's view.
"The Sunrisers, a clan from the Realm of Stars and Glory. Sent to Etarnaya to cure the imbalance of dark and light nearly a millennium ago, forbidden from returning until their task was done. Inlaid with a fiery streak, a sign that they have been granted permission to set foot in this land and call it home till the imbalance is fixed. Though a prophecy was set. On your thirteenth birthday, the darkness will come and plague the land, leaving no light behind, to envelop the land in eternal shadow. Time though, had other plans. It twisted itself and all of reality to reform the prophecy, that you would turn thirteen when you were ready to fight back against the Shadow. Your true age, unknown, though cast as thirteen now as the universe believes you are ready." Via's monotone voice echoed through the mists of silver.
"My true age? But the prophecy itself said I was born thirteen years ago." Orchid yelled into the mist.
"You may have been born thirteen years ago according to the Human Lands, though once you entered Etarnaya, time was brought forward again. To say you are still thirteen isn't correct in any definition apart from your appearance. That's why the Shadow appeared so abruptly. It had realised that it missed the prophecy by many years." Via replied.
Orchid was speechless.
How could time have altered this much?
"This Realm of Stars and Glory? What is it?" Orchid asked, oblivious to the silver mist slowly becoming darker.
"The Realm of Stars and Glory, Etarnayan's believe that Etarnaya and the Human Lands are the only world's that exist. The Realm of Stars and Glory lays beyond Etarnaya, a land where light and dark coexist in harmony. Only those who are worthy have a chance to even see a glimpse of it. The Realm of Stars and Glory is your home Orchid, you have a rightful place among the stars there." Via said, though her usually misty voice slowly became darker.
"I'm afraid your friend here spent too long in the void of past and future, sent me a clear invite into the deep." A deep voice said.
Startled, Orchid put down the cluster of crystals and summoned numerous sparks of light, pushing away the silver mists which now turned a pure deadly black.
"You! You attacked the school!" Orchid yelled at Via who was now possessed by the Shadow.
"Of course not! I have other matters to deal with, I got my little friend to do that." The Shadow laughed.
"Lyra! I knew she was with you!" Orchid brought the sparks of light to create a barrier around her.
"Lyra Frost, that stubborn child? You really think it's her?! Honestly, how could you not notice anything, the answer was right in front of you, yet you believe it's Lyra, a simple bully with self doubt, how hilarious!" Via circled around Orchid, dark hazy mists flowing around the room, before taking a step towards Orchid.
"Orchid Sunriser, consider your next moves carefully, I'm waiting on the other side." The Shadow whispered.
The dark mists suddenly evaporated into thin air as Via gasped.
"Orchid, the Shadow, it got in The Deep. It isn't safe here anymore. The Shadow barely managed to get in because I was distracted by looking at your past, if anything else happens to me or you, he can come in completely. You need to leave, alert Miss Elvina at once." Via said, before doing some sort of spell to get Orchid out of The Deep.
"It isn't letting you leave."
