"Orchid, please! Help me! He's in my head and he won't get out!" Iris ran towards Orchid.

Orchid stepped back defensively, holding her glowing hands in front of her.

Iris lightly gasped, seeing Orchid turn against her.

"How can I trust you, you were just attacking me!" The sparks in Orchid's hands slowly grew brighter, causing Iris to step back in fear.

"Orchid please. Trust me, I don't want to attack you. The Shadow, he's in my head and I can't control what I do anymore. You need to help me, I'm scared he's going to make me do something bad and I'll never be able to forgive myself if that happens. I honestly don't know what to do anymore." Small tears began to form in Iris's sapphire blue eyes.

Orchid slowly lowered her hands, the glow emitting from them slowly dimming and fading away into the misty wall-less room around them.

She wanted to trust Iris.

She could only imagine how she would have felt if she was in Iris's place.

Orchid didn't want to be a bad person.

Like Everbloom had said, Iris was her friend, and she was Orchid's friend too.

She needed to risk trusting her if it meant she could save her from the Shadow.

"I'll, I'll help you, what should I do?" Orchid stepped towards Iris, the sparks from her hands had fully diminished, it was only her and Iris now.

"The Shadow, he's possessed me, I don't exactly know how you can stop him but I think I have some sort of idea." Iris turned her back towards Orchid and started walking slowly into the distance unfazed all of a sudden, her long black hair flowing behind her.

"Iris wait! Where are you going! I thought you wanted help for goodness sake!" Orchid tried running after her, but something was slowing her down as she tried to catch up.

"A ring, a pin, a pendant I find. Two stones made of magic, one dark and one light. Bring it together and soon it will seem, all of the world will belong to me. Possessing hearts, and reading minds, soon a power that will be mine. Bring those together and soon it will seem, all of the world will belong to me."

Orchid gasped, startled as the Shadow's voice echoed and filled the wall-less room again.

"Iris, what's happening!" She yelled in fear as the song repeated and repeated over and over again, louder and louder each time.

She saw Iris turn her head and slip something off her finger, the object reflecting in the light.

Within a second, Iris flung the object up the the air, the light hitting it, shining light across the room.

Orchid squinted and looked up at the object, dark violet and indigo swirling around it hazily.

It was Iris's ring.

Orchid gasped as she realised what she had to do.

She summoned the sparks which lifted her off her feet, sending her high into the sky.

She reached out for the ring, before it sparkled brightly in her eyes, and the room disappeared.

Orchid gasped as she looked around her, she was back at the cliff side, lying on the ground, probably from the impact of the explosion.

Orchid rubbed her eyes as Everbloom ran towards her.

"You know, I was going to ask if you were alright, but I think I know what the answer is." Everbloom helped Orchid to her feet.

"Yeah, I think that's pretty obvious." Orchid grumbled.

There was silence for a few seconds before the two were sent flying into the air as a shadowy force hit them.

Orchid summoned her sparks which caught her just in time, and she turned her head to see that Everbloom had summoned a patch of grass beneath her feet.

Orchid looked back to see Iris, the sunlight reflecting off her ring.

"Everbloom! We have to get the ring!" Orchid yelled and flew towards Iris, Everbloom following close behind.

Iris sent blasts of dark energy towards both of them as they barely dodged each hit.

Orchid was almost a few meters away from Iris, she had to get to the ring, she had to.

She leapt of the sparks she stood on and jumped towards Iris, bright energy surging in her hands as she reached out for the ring which was glinting in the light.

Iris turned and sent a blast of darkness straight towards Orchid, sending her flying into the cliff.

As Orchid slowly felt herself lose consciousness, she drowsily looked up to see Everbloom fly behind Iris before aiming a green burst of light at the ring.
