Nakataas ang kilay ni Harvey while staring at me intently. The way he looks at me is like he is plotting something in his mind that I can't figure out. But the thought of what happened last night still lingers in my head.

"Nothing happened between us." I stated flatly.

"Are you disappointed that nothing happened? Come on Maze, it's written all over your face. You looked disappointed." Pang-aasar pa nya.

"I'm not disappointed." I trailed off, that's the truth. I'm more like hurt than disappointed.

After he kissed me torridly, he let me go and he just left without looking back and without saying any words. Iniwan na lang nya ako basta pagkatapos ng mainit naming halikan. I expected that something will happen tho, but it led me being hurt instead.

"What do you expect from him? Hindi pa nga kayo nag-uusap ng maayos at matino. Don't expect that everything between you and Ace will run smoothly."

I heaved out a deep sigh and sipped on my coffee. Harvey is always on point whenever he talks about Ace. And most of the time it triggers me to smack his handsome face and everytime I see his annoying grin.

"Mag-usap na kasi kayo." Dagdag pa nya.

"Kung ganon lang sana kadali ang lahat." Sagot ko naman.

"Ikaw lang naman ang nagpapahirap sa sitwasyon nyo. You have all the time and chances to talk to him Maze but you always find ways to run from it."

"I don't even know how to start. Everytime I'm him with him, I felt like he is sucking all of my energy. I'm losing my defense whenever I feel his presence. That's his effect on me."

"You feel that way because you're guilty. You still love him I know but it's your conscience that's bugging you." He grinned widely. "You left without giving him any reasons."

I let out a deep sigh. Truth really hurts, bigtime.

"Finally they decided to hold the meeting here in Sandoval Corp." Bungad sakin ni Clarence pagpasok nya sa office ko.

"Really? When is the meeting? Harvey haven't told me about it yet." I answered.

"This Friday."

"So everyone will be here on Friday." Clarence nodded in response. The image of my ex immediately flashed on my mind. Just the thought of him makes my system rumble in chaos.

And Friday came by so easily.

I chose to wear my Armani Suit for women in Beige paired it with my Louboutin Shoes in Nude. I fixed my hair in a clean bun and wore a light make up too. Sinipat ko ang itsura ko sa salamin at nang makuntento ay agad kong kinuha ang YSL sling bag na regalo ni Zeke.

Paglabas ko ng kwarto agad kong nakita si Harvey na prenteng nakaupo sa sofa nya. Nakagray suit naman sya without the tie. He plastered a smile the moment he set his gaze on me.

"Let's go." He stated.

"Yeah." Sagot ko.

We arrived in the office earlier than we expected. Pabor naman samin kasi makakapagprepare pa para sa meeting tho everything is settled naman na.

My heart is pounding wildly like I was in a race and I'm aiming for the goal. The thought of seeing Ace today makes my mind almost in havoc. I had to drink my morning coffee to calm my nerves but it's not helping either. I can't help but to feel nervous because I'm about to see him again after what happened between us that night.

"Calm down Maze, it's just Ace, you looked very tensed. Kabado lang teh?" Hindi nakakatulong na comment ni Harvey.

"Will you shut up, twerp?!" I almost hissed at him. Hindi nakakatulong ang mga side comments sa tension at kaba na namamayani sa buong sistema ko.
