"So how were the exams?" Seungmin questioned with a quite energetic tone, a small, contented smile spread on his face as spoons of vanilla ice cream occasionally met his lips. "It's been a while since we've gotten a chance to spend time together like this."

Shrugging as he fed himself a taste of his share of the creamy treat, Felix brought a thumb up to ensure cleanliness at the corner of his mouth, stealing a glance at the movie playing uselessly on the television before replying. "Alright, I guess," he sighed with the words, the younger arching a brow at the slumped gesture. "It was... challenging. And I was a bit distracted, to be honest. But it was manageable... I guess."

Resting his practically empty bowl against the coffee table, Seungmin crossed his legs in his seat on the sofa, narrowing his eyes at Felix who only kept his head lowered, a slightly bothered expression evident on his face. "Is everything okay?" The boy spoke skeptically, hesitating before standing from the single sofa to comfort the blonde on the larger one. He sighed before reaching for the remote to turn the inutile film off, resting a hand against the other's back as he made himself more comfortable near the smaller frame. "Why are you so damp all of a sudden? Did something happen, Lix? Was it that bad?"

Chewing harshly on his bottom hip, Felix closed his eyes before speaking, mind running over the real reason for his apathetic demeanor. He leaned forward to rest the still half-filled bowl of ice cream against the table, groaning quietly when his back hit the cushions once more. "I just haven't gotten much sleep for the past few days," he lied so effortlessly, leaving Seungmin fully ignorant of the honest words beneath that deceitful sheet.

The words of a reality that his own heart pondered on a bit too much- that his brain overthought way too much. The somewhat selfish words that expressed his wishes for his boyfriend's presence; how he craved the feeling of a more manly company on those lonely nights at the shop, and how he'd have to endure such solitude for at least another week or more.

"I think that the lack of sleep is even messing with my head and my health. So I'm just exhausted... that's all," Felix lied again, that time with a bit more gloss in his eyes- that being the only thing giving the slightest hint that he wasn't being honest.

Yet still, such teary eyes and monotonous pitch was not enough to unmask the true admission that not even Felix himself wanted to ponder on too much- the confession that the lingering taste of an earlier vomit on his tongue, as well as the occasional nausea in his stomach, could easily be traced back to one night- one decision to let lust and lies take over.
