Humming and sighing out of relief as the cool breeze of the mini fan in his hand hit his face, Hyunjin couldn't help but smile brightly, toes wiggling happily against the armrest of the couch as his slender build laid horizontally along the cushions. "He has a friend," he said, ignoring the fact that such sentence had no root in the silence that previously lingered between him and Jeongin. "And fuck, Innie, that boy is beautiful."

"Who has a friend," Jeongin furrowed his brows in question, unable to hold back a slight chuckle from the seemingly comedic level of contentment in the other's demeanor. "You've been laying there, staring at the ceiling with a smile on your face like an idiot for the past twenty minutes."

"Yeah, Innie. I have been smiling like an idiot because I think I like him, and I can like him comfortably because he's gay too," Hyunjin sighed calmly as he spoke, small smile not drifting an inch from his lips. "It's a friend of Seungmin. The one I told you that I wanted to meet?"

"Wait, you mean the one I told you to leave alone because you'll look like a desperate, fairytale dumb ass? That friend?" The younger coughed lightly as he laughed uncontrollably with his blunt question, dramatically brushing a finger under his eye as he lifted his legs to rest against the coffee table. "And just because he's gay, it doesn't mean anything, Hyunjin. You fall too easily. I thought you'd learn from your experience in Bus-"

"Jeongin, don't bring that up," Hyunjin cut the boy off instantly, the settled smile on his face finally inverting. Rolling his eyes and powering off the small fan in his hold as the cool breeze was no longer welcome on the new, dull setting on his face, he sat up with a low groan, stretching forward to place the machine next to his friend's leg. "He is different, I can tell. And as I said before, I'm not chasing love or anything... He's just sweet, you know? And cute... And even though we've only met like once, it's clear to see how he looks at things. Like he's so realistic, you know? He looks at situations from a real point of view. He questions things. He doesn't just take things without a proper, logical explanation. And he's so small and adorable. And that voice, Innie. I mean, Seungmin is nice, but I don't stand a chance with him. But Felix is- I like Felix."

"I'm not chasing love, he said," Jeongin teased, scoffing softly and slapping a palm over his face. "Are you hearing yourself, Hyunjin? You've only met him once and look at you. I know you don't want to admit it but if you don't control yourself, this will be the Seoyun situation all over again-"

"I said-"

"Hyunjin before you get upset, listen to me. As much as it's a bad memory, you act as if you like it, because you're taking no precautions against it. You catch feelings too easily, Jinnie. You've been hurt before, so much that you had to move to start a new life. And I'm not saying any of this to make you feel bad, I just need to remind you because it seems as though you've forgotten." Jeongin paused to exhale deeply, lifting his legs off of the table to lay more comfortably on the carpet. He leaned forward, resting a hand against his friend's clothed knee and stroking the area softly- comfortingly, as tears visibly formed in Hyunjin's eyes. "Just, be careful, Hyune. I'm not saying that this Felix is bad, but take your time. You came here for a fresh start, right? So don't go making the same mistakes."
