Pranati slept as soon as her back hit the bed, Jugnu cuddled in her arms. The mother-daughter duo had faced a lot of battles together and together they both would always win. Jugnu slept once she saw her mother was sleeping and she hugged Pranati, happy that her mother was finally resting from all the events that happened that day. She felt like an idiot since she trusted Reyansh to bring a smile on her mother's face, when he was the one who left them.
For once Jugnu felt that maybe having a father figure would do them a good deal, but this was exactly opposite of what she thought having a father was. She envied all those who had dads, someone who'd carry them on their shoulder, bring them all sort of good stories from the world, treat them with the best of everything, and have two hands to hold while crossing the street. Here, she realised that not everyone had a perfect father, and she, well she did not have one at all.
With a decision to get out of the Khurana House and move back to the Mishras where everyone did not pretend to like her, Jugnu slept, holding Pranati's hand and while the duo slept, Reyansh was having a hard time to fall asleep.
He had not treated his bruises and wounds and had refused to take the pain killers as a result of which his body ached and ached all through the night. His mind was constantly thinking about Pranati and Jugnu and the things he did and the things he could have done. His heart ached, seeing the daughter get so much love from her mother, and he missed his mother, he remembered how he would long for his mother after her death and was alone, just like this.
Why did his mother die?
That was what he always told himself, asked God and kept complaining about it because he was a kid, a kid of the same age as Jugnu, and his mother was snatched away from him.
What he'd give to have his mother back with him.
The pain became unbearable, to the extent Reyansh passed out on the sofa, the physical pain and the mental trauma playing with his body and he felt himself facing his nightmares again. He always got these nightmares, of him seeing his dead mother, of him crying and longing for her to return only that she is dead, that he is watching a figure with long hair leave and walk away. And his mother, his nightmares often troubled him more than before.
Reyansh twisted, and turned, and shivered through the night as he slept on the sofa, trying to get a hold of his nightmares, but couldn't and so the night passed in great difficulty for him.
While Reyansh slept through restlessness and anxiety, Pranati woke up with a sad feeling enveloping her and she took deep breaths as she found herself asleep on the bed and Jugnu sleeping besides her. This room smelt so much like Reyansh that sometimes she felt she was in his arms or something. No matter how much of air freshener she'd spray, his scent was registered in her senses to such an extent that she felt him more closer to her lately.
