Again, Sabrina cried herself to sleep. She shook hard throughout the night, and he held her tighter and tighter to remind her he was there. That he wouldn't let her go.

Even as it assuaged her a bit, he never felt so helpless in his life. Nothing he could do to end her pain completely, only ease and he knew it was a lot to ease had she felt everything ten times worse than him. She wasn't one to have control over her emotions, they took over her and she allowed them to because there were no other alternatives.

Except for him and he only could chase so much away with kisses and whispers of sweet nothings, hold her, and for a moment, he could replace her pain with pleasure but afterward, everything would come back down on her.

He hated that but he couldn't complain because he loved her in his arms.

He didn't go to sleep. After his adversaries attempted to take them while he wasn't there, he didn't want to fall into the bliss of such luxury. Not only that, but he had been thinking about what she said.

Jr killed Jane, not her.

He tried replaying the scene in his head and he came to many conclusions, the first one more convincing.

When Jane held Sabrina at gunpoint, Jr stabbed her in the back, and she pushed him as Sabrina said. Sabrina, who loved her brother more than anything in the world, got angry and tried getting the gun only thwarted by Jane, was beaten up and Jr saw the moment to get the gun. He did.

Only Draven didn't know if he hesitated, but he had to have been behind her for the blood to get on Sabrina and her clothes. That explained the hole in the back of her head, another reason he knew it was from the back.

He realized he hadn't talked to Jr because he demanded space, now that time was over.

Easily, he slid from the bed and took a shower had he probably smelled like after sex. Only then did he remember he had been shot in the shoulder as he stared at the wound, but there wasn't an exit that could explain why he hadn't bled all over the bed.

After patching himself up, he threw on basketball shorts and a tank top, walking into Jr's room. He was asleep of course, it was midnight, and he waited seconds before waking him up, observing his eyelids movement. They didn't flutter as if he were having a nightmare, he slept normally.

Good, he thought.

He tapped him softly, Jr groaning and turning, making Draven chuckle. Then Jr's eyes landed on him as he rubbed his eyes, such an adorable action. "Want to go somewhere with me?" He questioned and Jr instantly nodded.

Of course, he would go anywhere with Draven.

"Get dressed and meet me in the car"

Draven went back inside and covered Sabrina's naked body with the blanket. He wouldn't dare leave her in the house alone, as he vowed, their protection came first. When he scooped her in his arms, she groaned a little, muttering but with a kiss and a whisper, she sagged, her head falling over his shoulder. Luckily, she wasn't a very light sleeper.

After settling her into the backseat, Jr sat in the passenger's seat.

Draven made sure to check if he had weapons in the car, which he did before he drove off.

Again, Draven checked on Sabrina, pulling the blanket up and grabbing a pillow out of the trunk for her to lay on. Kissing her head, he closed the door, locking them all and Jr followed him as he led them inches away, at the basketball court.

"You know how to play?" Jr questioned, a snicker from Draven as he bounced the basketball between his legs.

"Do I?" He chuckled.
