12 - Stress

Ryujin POV

As we settled down we joined Y/n on her couch watching a movie. There was crumbled paper, pencils and art supplies all over the table.

"Sorry about the mess, I was supposed to be resting today but I need to prepare for a new project again." She said as she started to tidy things up.

"No unnie it's fine, you should rest for now." Yuna said quickly grabbing her wrist to stop her.

"Why don't we finish the movie you were watching, it's your day off isn't it?" I say looking at Y/n, she nods and adjusts her glasses.

We continue to watch the movie, Y/n sits between Yuna and I for extra comfort. We sat in a comfortable silence until it was broken by Yuna, "Unnie, if you don't mind me asking, what's your new project?"

Y/n turned to Yuna and replied, "Oh, I'm in lead of designing the new part of a building, I've got all the measurements and everything but I haven't been told what buulding it is yet."

Yuna looks at her confused, "But don't you usually get told what your working on?"

She nods then says, "Yeah.. But I think they just forgot. I'll probably get told when I come back to work." She sighed then moves to lean her head on my shoulder and linking our arms together.

After the movie finishes I feel Y/n adjust her position laying her head on my lap. I look down to see her eyes closed, sleeping comfortably. I dare not to move, I would hate to wake her up, she deserves a good rest right now.

"Unnie, I don't think you're gonna get up anytime soon." Yuna jokes, I scoff and nod in reply, Yuna gets up then heads towards the kitchen.

Hearing soft sighes leave her mouth followed by movement she slowly gets up and rubs her eyes unconciously looking at me. She removes her hand from her eyes and blinks a couple of times before she speaks slowly, "did I fall asleep?"

I nods and she groans leaning towarss me resting her head on my shoulder once again, "I have so much work to do, I shouldn't have fallen asleep."

I shake my head then say, "No Y/n, you aren't supposed to be stressing about work right now, you should be resti-"

"Resting I know, I was having a good time outside before my boss called and told me about the new project. After hearing how big it was gonna be I couldn't stop thinking about it, so I went home and started to prepare for it."

She moves away from me and sits up brushing her hair back. She sighes in stress, she is definitely overworking herself; although she has a day-off she's still worrying about work. One day I have a strong feeling she would breakdown because of the amount of stress she has.

I hear footsteps from behind and see Yuna coming back from the kitchen with a glass of water. She sits down next to Y/n and says, "Unnie, you seems really tired why don't you sleep."

Y/n shakes her head instantly, "I can't. I have stuff to do." She says while getting up, I grab her wrist to prevent her from leaving.

"No, you're not gonna do anything. You're going to sit back down and get the rest you deserve Y/n." I say firmly.

I pull back to sit down, she leans back on my shoulder and holds my hand.

After a few movies and snacks, it's 6:30pm. A lot of time was spent with Yuna and I comforting Y/n, making her feel better, lightening her mood just a bit more.

"Do you guys wanna order something, I'm hungry." Yuna says pouting her lips.

"I can actually cook for you if you want." Y/n says and Yuna eyes light up her pout disappearing in an instant, she nods quickly making Y/n laugh.

"Yes please Unnie, I love your cooking, it's sooo good." Yuna smiles hugging Y/n tightly. Y/n laughs once more and replies "Alright you big baby, get off me so I can cook."

Y/n gets up and goes towards the kitchen, Yunas eyes trail her as she walks away. She smiles and looks at me as she says, "She so pretty, I love her so much."

I laugh then say, "Are you saying that because she's making you food?"

She shakes her head then says, "No, well that's part of it but she basically raised me so that's why I love her." Yuna smiles brightly, I get up then join Y/n in the kitchen.

(Y/n POV)

I quickly tie my hair in a ponytail, I get the ingredients for the pasta that I'm going to make. As I chop the mushrooms I feel arms wrap around my waist making me flinch.

I hear laughter from behind followed by a voice, "Why did you flinch Y/n?" I hear continuous giggles coming from Ryujin.

"Because you scared me!" I say and she laughs again. "It's not funny Ryujin-ah." I feel her rest her head on my shoulder and pull me closer to her.

"I never said it was," She said calmly, I can feel her breath against my neck as she spoke.

"Well. You were laughing way too much and you're saying it wasn't funny?" I say as I put down the knife and turn around to face her.

"Fine. It was somewhat funny." She says rolling her eyes playfully. "Anyways, what are you making for the child?"

She lets go of me then stands next to me leaning on the counter. "Carbonara pasta for the child." I feel her staring intently at me as I wash the mushrooms.

She nods slowly then says, "You're such a nice friend Y/n, you've taken care of Yuna for how many years now?"

I laugh then reply, "Since she was really young, for six or seven years now? She's adorable, I love taking care of her still, even though she's basically an adult now."

Ryujin nods then says, "That's so cool, you're so cool Y/n."

I laugh as I put the pasta in the boiling water, "Thanks, I try to be." I was about to speak again before I got cut off by a loud voice.

"Y/N UNNIE!!!"

Ryujin and I instantly turn around, I lower the fire on the stove and quickly rush to Yuna.

"What- what is it Yuna, are you okay?" I say as I rush down the corridor with Ryujin rushing behind, I enter the living room and see Yuna peacefully sitting on the sofa.

She turns at us and I walk over to her worried, "Why did you shout like that? Are you okay?"

She looks at me confused and nods, "I'm fine? Why?"

"You were calling me like your life depends on me, that's why." I reply quickly.

Yuna laughs, "Really? N-no it's not that, it's just someone was at the door, so I had to call you over quickly."

I sigh, "You really are so much to handle, Ryujin can you take care of the food for a second please?" Ryujin goes back to the kitchen just as shocked as I am.

I go over to the front door and open it.

"Y/n-ah, why did you take so long? I've been standing here for like half an hour now."
