15 - Future From Here

It's been about a year and a half, Y/n has got to know Ryujin and the people around her better, this includes friends, family and the staff working with Ryujin. Y/n had asked Ryujin to officially to be her girlfriend on the 18th of March. Of course she had gotten permission from JYP himself to be in a relationship with Ryujin and he happily accepted it. Their relationship had yet to be released to the public and fans yet.

As Y/n and Ryujin were together it also brought the Red Velvet and ITZY members to become closer. They would often hang out and go out with eachother.

Some Reveluvs and Midzys had spotted the many interactions between the two groups on stage. And sometimes the girls were seen out in the public with eachother which would make the fans even more excited for their idols.

A lot of people around Y/n and Ryujin were supportive of them, and were happy that they were together.

However as Ryujin was an idol it obviously meant they couldn't see each other very often. Ryujin was especially busy as she was promoting a new song with the ITZY girls.

This meant more time at the company than at Y/n's house. Y/n would often visit Ryujin and the girls at their practice room whenever she had free time but now being one of the organisers of new building projects at her job she wasn't able to take much time off.

(Y/n's POV)

I was at my work, working on a project where an old building would be renovated and modernised. It was quite a large plot of land to cover, but since they wanted it to turn into an office/workplace it wouldn't be too hard.

"Miss Bae, where should we lay out the blueprints that you prepared?" I hear one of the employees say.

"Just put it on the table over there." I said pointing to an empty table. I finished some files and documents before I heard my name being called from outside my office with a knock at the door.

I opened the door to be greeted by my secretary/assistant as she said, "Miss Bae, you have a guest downstairs waiting for you."

Confused, I tilted my head trying to think of who it would be, so I nod and start to head downstairs to the lobby.

I walk out the elevator and look around, before I hear my name being called by a familiar voice.

"Y/n over here!!"

I turn to the direction of the voice to see Mark standing with something in his hands.

I quickly walk over to him and bring him into a hug, then he hands me a bag with cakes and desserts inside and says, "Soo I actually have some time off and since I haven't seen you in a while, I decided to surprise you." He said smiling, I could tell he was in a good mood, his voice was upbeat and positive.

"Oh wow, thanks a lot, no I actually wasn't expecting to see anyone today, so it's nice that you're here." I reply, its been a while since I hung out with Mark. We've always been busy with work so it's really nice to see him again.

"Are you not busy or are do you have stuff to do?" He asks.

I shake my head then say, "well I am busy but not really, do you wanna join me in my office instead of staying here, I can see people staring at you.." I say the last part quietly so other around don't hear. He nods then we quickly head up.

Of course people stare, he's an idol, a very well known idol in fact. Some of my friends or people in school had envied me because of the amount of idols that I knew and was close with.

At some point it did get quite irritating when people would ask or say the same things like;
'Are you friends with [idol name]'
'Can I have their number?'
'I'm so jealous of you, do you realise how lucky your are?'

I thought it would be cool to have 'famous' friends but now I know why idols keep a big secret of their personal life and the people that don't want the spotlight around them.

To be honest, the amount of questions I get about my idol friends have decreased yet they are still present. Sometimes when new employees or interns see me with an idol they get really excited and somewhat unprofessional. Which is of course something I hate.

We reach my office and thankfully nobody had bothered us on the way. Opening the door I glanced back at Mark seeing his eyes widen making me laugh.

"W-why are your eyes like that?" I say trying not to laugh too much.

"Why is your office so big? Why do you have so many papers on your desk? And what the heck? That is so cool!" He said pointing at one of my 3d models of a building I designed.

"Okay first of all, too many questions, second, you need to calm down and third, that's a building I designed but just a smaller version." I reply going to sit at my desk.

Mark and I sat in ny office catching up with eachother talking about his promotions and my projects. He also had found out Ryujin and I were together, he envied at the fact that Ryujin could date with JYPs permission.

I comforted him about it and made him feel better by getting some food delivered. After doing multitasking, talking with Mark while doing my work he had to leave because he needed to go to the studio.

I walked him back down to the lobby saying my goodbyes and he left with a smile on his face looking quite happy I must say.

As I walked back towards the elevator I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. Taking out I see Ryujin calling, I quickly answered the phone before it stopped ringing.

"Hey Ryujin, whats up?"

"Y/n baby, are you are work right now?" She asked.

You hummed then replied, "Yes I am darling why?"

"Oh... Okay, no I was just asking nothing important that's all." Ryujin said slowly, you could tell there was something she needed from you but she wouldn't say.

"Ryujin, if there's something you wanna say I'm all ears." You said as you got into the elevator.

"Oh, well in that case I was going to ask if I could visit you. But like you said you're working and you're probably busy so I won't disturb you."

You got out the elevator and starting walking back to your office, "Well. If you planned on coming here in the first place I suppose you could..."

"Really? Are you sure I won't be bothering you?" She questioned once more.

"No no Ryujin, of course not. Plus I haven't seen you in while because we've both been busy.."

"Okay then! I'm coming from the company so I'll be there in 15 minutes!" She said excitedly across the phone.

You couldn't help but laugh at her cuteness from the other side of the phone. "Alright baby, see you in a bit," you said.

"Okayy bye Y/n~" She said happily, then hung up on the phone. As Ryujin was visiting you decided to tidy your office while you were waiting for her, this only took a few minutes organising files and tidying drawers. After all was done you patiently waited occupying yourself with work until she arrived.
