2 - Who Are You?

(Ryujins POV)

"Unnie, let's go." Yuna says, taking my arm as we walk towards the practice room.

As we approach the elevator, I turn to Yuna and ask, "Yuna, who was that you were talking to?"

"My girlfriend." She replied nearly in an instant. She looked at me smiling, I couldn't tell if she was playing with me.

Until she burst out in laughter, "Unnie~, I'm just kidding. Did you actually believe it?" I nod in response, still surprised even though that wasn't her girlfriend.

"That was Y/n, the girl I always talk about to you guys." Yuna smiled as the elevator stopped, and we both walked out.

"Why did you ask?" She looks at me, in which I respond.

"Uh, nothing, I was just curious, I've never seen her before." Not wanting to admit that I probably fell for the blue-eyed girl already.

Yuna nodded and hummed. "Sureee, whatever floats your boat~" I give her a glare at her teasing words. She laughs "Unnie I'm kidding, I'm kidding."

I open the practice door as Yuna and I walk in, and the other members turn and head to Yuna, hugging her tightly.

We all sit down and have a chat, and Yuna tells us about her day.

I was staring into space till I heard that name "Y/n Unnie dropped me off, so I'm okay." I heard Yuna say, instantly grabbing my attention.

Chaeryeong smiled as she said, "Cute, how nice of her." I look at Chaeryeong confused. Did she know Y/n, were they friends in the past or something.

Yuna laughed and then said, "Yeah, she's still the same when she was in Hanlim."
I looked at Yuna in confusion and shock, "Y/n went Hanlim?"
Yuna nods at me as she replies,
"Yeah, she was friends with Chaeryeong Unnie. Did you not meet her?"

I shook my head in response, "That's weird because I think you shared some of the same classes with her."

I raise my eyebrow, I don't remember anyone in any of my classes called
'Y/n'.

Damn, this will definitely haunt me. Who is this girl? She was supposedly in my classes, friends with Chaeryeong, yet I still haven't met her?

"Okay, anyways, big baby Yuna, you should change so we can start practising." I hear Yeji say, cutting off all my thoughts. Yuna nods, picking up her bag as she heads out to the dressing room.

Y/n, Y/n, it really doesn't ring a bell. Her face wasn't familiar when I saw her today. Ugh, why did she have to come into play when we're preparing for promotions and other stages. I'm going to be distracted for the whole day or maybe longer.

She really has-- "Ryuddaengg~, are you there?" I see Yeji unnie waving her hand in front of me as Chaeryeong and Lia unnie look at me concerned.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. I just spaced out for a bit." I lie, I was busy figuring out who she was.

Chaeryeong laughed and said, "I could tell, I was calling you for a few seconds, and you didn't respond, so I got Yeji unnie." I chuckled lightly and apologized. Soon, Yuna came back ready to practice.

Everyone got on their feet starting to stretch for 5 minutes until we were all warmed up. We got into positions as we started to practice for the MAMA performance and other events we were going to perform at.

(In the ITZY dorms)

I head to my own room, practically collapsing on the bed. When I hear a knock on my door, I tell them to come in, the door opens revealing Chaeryeong as she walks into my room, sitting next to me on my bed.

"Ryujin-ah.." I look at her as she calls my name, "So~ just before practice, you said you were spacing out, right?" I nod in response, and she carries on; "No, you weren't." She smiles brightly,

"Then what do you think I was doing, hmm?"

Chaeryeong looks at me in disbelief and scoffs. "Ryujin, you were thinking about Y/n."

I looked at her shocked. How did she know, was it something I said, something I did?

"I know you get easily worked up with things like this." She giggles

I reply, "How did you know I was thinking about her?"

Chaeryeong laughs harder as she starts to calm down sighing "ah... I knew it.." Raising my eyebrows, is she messing with me? Did I miss a whole episode?

"What do you mean you knew it, Chaer?"

She smiles widely and takes my hand. "I didn't. It was just a hunch, so I acted like I knew, and you surprisingly admitted to it. You were thinking about Y/n, so while I'm here, care to explain?"

I sigh in defeat as she looks at me with triumph and happiness plastered all over her face, "So, I saw Y/n with Yuna today, but I didn't know who she was until Yuna told me.. Then I found out she was friends with you AND went to Hanlim, and I was just thinking, why haven't I seen or met her until now."

"And you are thinking of her because..." Chaeryeong raised an eyebrow

"Because when I saw her today, I couldn't get that image of her out of my head. She's got me hooked? If that's the right way to put it."

Chaeryeong looked at me curiously, wanting to hear more. "So, basically what you're trying to say... Is that you fell in love with Y/n?"

It takes me a while to process before replying, "Yeah, I gues-- WAIT NO!!" Chaeryeong giggles, wiggling her eyebrows at me.

"NO NO NO, I DIDN'T MEAN THAT!!" I spit out all the words I could try to make her understand.

She laughs loudly. "Don't worry, Ryujin-ah, your secret is safe with me.." She teased once more as I planted my head into the cushion full of embarrassment.

I feel her hand rubbing my back softly, "Ryujin-ah, don't worry, I promise I won't tell or mention this to anyone." I lift my head, brushing my hair back with my hand as I take her pinky finger sealing the promise.

Then she says, "in this case, I can offer two options because I still keep in contact with Y/n, I can help you guys become friends/girlfriends or I let you sort out the situation on your own."

I look at her as she takes my hand and says, "So miss, love at first-sight, what will it be?"
