16 - Jealous

(Y/n POV)

As I started to do some work while waiting for Ryujin I heard a knock on the door. Assuming it was her I walked over and opened it, only to see one of my co-workers standing, Park Jaehyun (he is just a regular person, not idol related or anything)

I look at him confused then he smiles and says, "Hey Y/n, do you mind if I come in for a second?"

Still confused I furrow my eyebrows and reply, "Well.. If it's for something important if not I can't because I'm in the middle of something right now." I lie to him.

He nods then says, "Yeah, it's about the project that you're doing." He says slowly while giving me a smile, "So... Can I come in?"

I move out the way so he walks in and sits in the chair in front of mine, I close the door behind me and open the blinds that was covering my window. Then move to sit in my seat.

"So? What did you want to talk about?" I asked him wanting him to leave already, it's not that I don't like him or have a sort of hatred towards him. It's because I had just tidied my office just for Ryujin and now he's here.

"Uhm, so Director Min told me that he was informed that the company we are working with for the project said that we have to postpone it.."

I look at him in disbelief and shock. "No way.. Another project cancelled?"

"No no no.. It's not cancelled yet, but they just said that they won't go ahead with the plan for now."

I sigh in frustration, "Well I guess there's nothing we can do. We just have to wait and see what happens." I say slowly, still trying to process what happened.

He smiles at me then says, "It's fine
Y/n don't worry.. It shouldn't be that big of a problem right?"

"They cancelled last minute when all the blueprints, materials and all the work is done. And they want it all to go to waste?" I reply slightly annoyed.

"Hey hey, how about I go get some drinks like coffee or something and maybe some food to make you feel better." He says looking at me with a smile on his face.

"Do whatever.." I sigh and lean back in my chair.

"Okay cool, I'll be back in like 5 minutes." He says and gives me another smile.

He quickly returns with 2 cups of coffee and some snacks he bought. I thank him for his kind gesture and he starts to talk comfortably telling me different experiences and stories as I continue doing my work.

(Ryujin POV)

I walk into the lobby, as I arrive I decide to call Y/n to tell her I'm downstairs. I click on her contact and it rings a few times. Yet no answer, I call her once more. Again. No answer. I decide to go to her office myself since I know where it is and I've been here multiple times.

I get in the elevator and once I get out I start walking towards her office. I see familiar faces as I walk by and bow to greet them.

I slow down my pace once I'm nearby, I can see her that her blinds are up, I look into her office trying to see what's keeping her so busy.

I see a guy sitting in front of her, they're laughing and chatting and he is obviously flirting with her. I can see it from his eyes, the way smiles at her is way too friendly.

Am I over thinking or am I right? God damn, he's probably just a friend right. Well that's what I thought until I see him reach over to her brushing something away from her lips.

Oh hell nah.

I quickly walk over to the door and knock on it, the door opens and I'm greeted by the mans eyes. ew, the heck get out of my face.

He looks at me confused and asks, "Who are you.. Do you need something?"

The audacity? I look at him just as confused as he is and reply, "Yeah I'm actually here to see Y/n.. not you.." I say the last part quietly.

He raises an eyebrow then says, "Well. She's actually really busy right now so.. Sorry you can't." He starts to close the door in my face, I'm sorry what? I quickly lodge my foot between the door preventing it to close on me.

What the actual fuck? Is he really tryng to steal her away from me or what? I push the door open then say, "You can't just close the door on my face like that, it's disrespectful."

He turns back and is about to speak when I hear Y/n, "Who is that Jaehyun?"

"Uhm.. Just a girl, she says she's here to see you." He says calmly.

I start to see Y/n walking towards the door, I make eye contact with her and she smiles instantly. "Ryujin!!!" I hear her say excited. The Jaehyun guy moves to the side and Y/n jumps into my arms.

I gently rub her back as she hugs me tightly before pulling away. She looks at me smiling then says, "Oh right I should introduce you. Jaehyun, this is my girlfriend Ryujin, Ryujin this is Jaehyun, he's been working with me on the new project."

I raise my eyebrow at him, I don't like him a single bit. He bows at me to greet me and I slightly bow back.
"Oh? That's your girlfriend?." He says seeming surprised. Well duh. She's gay for me for a reason and isn't straight for you, jeez.

"Yeah I am, it's nice to meet you Jaehyun-ssi." I say hesitant, I wrap one of my arms around Y/n's waist and pull her closer to me.

"Same goes to you Ryujin-ssi.." He replies awkwardly. "Well.. I think I should go now that you're here.." He says before saying goodbye to my girlfriend and closing the door behind him.

I walk over to pull down the blinds so that nobody can see. And turn to Y/n, "Baby. I don't like the way he acts."

She looks at me confused, "What do you mean?"

"He was obviously trying to have you all to himself by preventing me from entering, he's way to friendly with you and he was really rude when I first talked to him at the door."

"Ryujin... You can't say that, he's a nice guy and I think it's just--"

"He tried to close the door on my face. Y/n." I say sternly looking at her seriously.

"Ryujin, it was just your first time meeting him, I'm sure he didn't mean it like that.."

"Baby. Did he know that you were in a relationship?"

She nods slowly, then I continue; "Then why would he try so hard to keep another girl from intervening? If he knows that you're in a relationship why would he try so hard to keep me away? Even if it was someone else and not me I'm sure he would do the same thing." I say slightly frustrated.

Y/n sighs then looks at me, "Are you really that jealous Ryujin?"

"I'm not jealous, I'm just saying the truth." I reply quickly, she walks towards her seat and sits down.

I sit in the seat opposite her then she says, "Ryujin, trust me. Now that he knows who you are and for sure that I'm in a relationship he won't try anything again."

I roll my eyes, sure that's what you think. "But the fact that he still knew you were taken, and he still tried to hog you all to himself isn't going to change my mind that he will try again some time later."

"Ryujin. You're just jealous, I know it baby..."
