29 - Separate

(Y/n POV)

I hesitantly sit up as I am awoken by some familiar voices in another room, I reach for my phone under my pillow to look at the time, it's about 6:20 in the morning.

I slowly walk over to the door, opening it and see my sister and Ryujin talking over some coffee.

"Oh, baby you're awake?" Ryujin turns her attention to me. I nod and she opens her arms as I walk towards her. "Did you have a good sleep?"

I bury my face in her neck and reply, "kind of.. Not really.."

She giggles and pats my back gently before I move away to turn to my sister, "unnie~ I'm so sleepy."

Irene laughs and replies, "Y/n you just woke up, obviously you'll be tired."

I sigh then go to sit on the chair next to Ryujin and lean my head on her shoulder.

"When are you guys gonna leave?" I groan and grab Ryujins hand playing with her fingers.

"Maybe in a few minutes, we didn't want to leave without you saying bye to your girlfriend." Joohyun replies in a teasing tone.

"Whatever unnie.." I roll my eyes and I feel Ryujins gaze laying on me, so I sit up and look at her. "What?"

She shakes her head and smiles, "you seem so sad, why is that?"

I raise my eyebrow at her, "it's definitely not because you're leaving me for a while.." I reply sarcastically.

She scoffs, "Y/n it will only be for a few weeks, maybe a month at most."

"Exactly a month at most, I can barely survive two days without you? How am I supposed to go through a whole mon- not even a month, a whole week without you?"

She laughs once more and shakes her head, "my love you will be completely fine. I promise, and you can call me whenever you want."

I pout and look right into her eyes, "you're looking me straight in my eyes when you're not even straight." Ryujin jokes, which in response I playfully slap her arm and walk off back into my room.

"Y/n! I was just- that was a joke!" I hear her shout behind me, I can also hear my sister laughing at the situation.

I sit on the bed and watch the door open seeing my girlfriend walk in slowly with a slight grin on her lips. I look at her and roll my eyes and she laughs once more.

"Y/n baby, that was a joke.. Come on now.." Ryujin says stopping in front of me.

I look up at her then she moves to sit next to me. So I turn my head in the other direction so she's facing the back of my head.

"Y/n, look at me. Please?" She says slowly but I don't respond.

I feel her hand grab my jaw forcefully turning me around. I try to avoid eye contact but she stares right into my eyes, it's basically unavoidable.

"Ryujin! We need to get going soon!" I hear Joohyun unnie shout, "it's going to get busy later, there will be traffic."

Ryujin keeps her eyes on me and moves to push her lips on mine, kissing me more passionately than ever.

She pushes me down pinning me to the soft mattress. I wrap my arms around her neck trying to keep her close but she pulls away.

She sits back up and gives me a teasing smile, "sorry my love, we might get caught again."

I sigh as she offers her hand to help me back up, I take her hand and she lifts me up taking me by shock, "Ryujin!" I gasp and instantly wrap my arms and legs around her body out of shock.

She then takes me back to the living room seeing Joohyun unnie with a confused face as she looks up from her phone. "Yah Ryujin-ah, w-what are you doing?"

My girlfriend laughs and gently puts me down, "spending as much time as I can before I leave the love of my life."

Joohyun unnie shakes her head and laughs, "you guys are so in love it's adorable.. Now come on we need to get going."

Ryujin nods and turns her attention towards me, "I need to get going now my love."

I nod slowly and peck her lips, as Joohyun unnie prepares to leave approaching the door, "let's go Ryujin." She says before leaving the house and closing the door behind her.

I follow Ryujin to the door holding her hand and she turns to me, "even though this is for a few days or weeks, I know I'm going to miss you like hell."

I smile at her and slowly let go of her hand, she opens the door and starts to walk towards my sister's car, waving at me the further she gets away.

As Ryujin gets in she rolls down the window and blows a kiss to me before they drive off.

I close the door once I see the car disappear.

Empty. Silence.

I already miss her, eventhough I just saw her, it pains me to know that I won't be seeing her everyday when we finish work. Or atleast on our days off. Yeah I get to call her whenever I want, but it just isn't enough. It doesn't feel right.

This is what I have to get used to. For now atleast.

(Ryujin POV)

Once Irene unnie had dropped me off at the ITZY dorms. I pushed the door open and saw Chaeryeong and Yuna sitting on th couch watching something on the television.

They both turned around at the same time, "Ryujin unnie!" Yuna says excitedly, jumping up from her seat and pulling me into a tight hug.

"Shin Ryujin!" I hear a loud voice coming from another direction.

Yuna pulls away from me and I see Yeji unnie walking towards me with her phone in her hand as she says, "I'm assuming you've seen the article, that's why you're here?"

I nod and reply, "yeah.. How did you know?"

"Because I care about your relationship with Y/n. What are you going to do now, people are bound to find out sooner enough. They're keeping a close eye on you, do you realise that?" She stops infront of me.

I nod slowly, "yeah.. Me and Y/n we had a chat about it."

"So, what will you do?"

"We decided to separate for a few weeks, maybe a month, until all this calms down. We also decided to speak to JYP about this because the situation is a mess right now and we need help dealing with it." I say slowly.

"After practice today, I think it's best to go and talk to him. Maybe I can get Y/n to the company aswell." Yeji suggests.

"Yeah.. That's sounds good." I nod, agreeing with her.

"Anyways, now that we're altogether how about we go out to eat?" Yeji asks excitedly.

"Eat?! I want to eat!! Let's get pizza!" Yuna replies loudly.

Yeji laughs, "it's the morning but sure why not.."
