23 - Why?

(Ryujin POV)

"That's weird." Yuna says and I nod in agreement.

"Very weird.." I reply.

"What's weird?" I hear a voice from the door. Yuna and I both turn to see Chaeryeong standing by the door of my room.

"U-uh.. Nothing?" Yuna says.

"Really Yuna?" Chaeryeong raises her eyebrow.

"It's nothing secret Yuna," I turn to Chaeryeong, "I was just saying, you know Minhee, she's been calling me for some reason and it won't stop."

"Minhee? As in that girl Lee Minhee?" Chaeryeong says shocked.

Yuna and I nod then Chaeryeong carries on, "wah.. The audacity of that girl."

"What I don't get is that why is she calling you after like two or three years?" Yuna says, "what does she want from you?"

"I don't know.."

"What if, the next time she calls answer it so you know what she's bothering you for." Chaeryeong suggests as she join to sit on my bed.

"Sounds like a good idea, also does she know that you have a girlfriend?" Yuna asks.

I shake my head, "no I don't think she knows about us.."

"Maybe she found out?" Yuna replies.

"I hope not, she'll probably tell the whole world if she did.." I reply slowly, Minhee is a girl I met at the age of 15 we've been friends ever since until she got jealous about my success.

It started when she was being quite distant from me, we weren't in the same friendship group but we would chat whenever we had free time.

But every now and then she would avoid me, ignore me on purpose and eventually stopped talking to me overall.

Of course I was confused at first so I decided to confront her about it.

*flashback*

(Ryujin POV)

"Minhee!" I called out as she walked past grabbing her wrist, "can we talk for a second?" I asked, she just rolled her eyes then nodded.

To give us some privacy I decided to go somewhere more quiet.

"What do you want Ryujin?" She crossed her arms raising her eyebrow.

"Can you tell me why you've been avoiding me, you don't even answer my messages or calls like you usuaally would."

"I'm busy. That's all." She replies bluntly.

"How about in school? You keep avoiding me, in the hallways, in class and when--"

"Listen Ryujin, how about you just stop all of this nonsense! I don't want to be friends with you, you have everything you need right now. Go have fun with your idol friends or whatever." She rolls her eyes and walks away.

"Are you really going to break our friendship over me being an idol?"

"We were never friends nor did we have anything Ryujin!"

*end flashback*

Although it was a 'loss' I realised what a bad friend she was. She was possessive over me and didn't want me have any close friends at all. At first I thought it was her just being protective over me and didn't mind it but I was wrong all along.

She would push away those who were nice and wanted to be friends with me by saying rude things to keep them away.

It was a mess, but I'm over it now. I don't want to have anything to do with her anymore.
