As I looked down at the ring Lily had found I couldn't help but smile, it really was perfect! It had Xenophilius written all over it.... Not literally but hopefully you know what I mean.

When the shop owner came over to help us retrieve and pay for the ring we'd found he put it in a box, sitting in on the counter in front of us.

"He's going to LOVE it Lily!" I couldn't hide my excitement anymore

"Well I'd hope so! If he doesn't like the ring you give him on your wedding day you have bigger issues than the ring!"

When we got back to my brother's house Lily was irritated almost immediately. James had been given the task of entertaining Xenophilius but he was no where to be found by the time we got back.

"You had ONE task James! Keep Xenophilius occupied!" Lily said, she wasn't quite yelling yet but her voice was raised

"Thats not exactly an easy task if your name isn't Y/N! He went home over an hour ago saying he had an article to write, was I supposed to tie him down to the couch?" James retorted

"I..... no..... Don't tie people up."

"Party pooper" I tried to hide my comment by coughing but it clearly didn't work

Sirius started laughing and I could see the sides of my brother's mouth twitching in an effort to not follow suit.

"Y/N! Don't encourage them!" Lily was trying to stay mad at all 3 of us

"Lily, I'm going to leave you here with these two before I say something inappropriate.... Again." I replied.

She quickly agreed, hugging me before I apparated back to the one bedroom flat I shared with Xenophilius, who was still absolutely nowhere to be found. I didn't think much of it, most of the time if he's writing an article he goes to the local park. He says it helps him concentrate if he's in a more natural setting.

It gave me time to hide the wedding band I'd gotten earlier that day, while I knew what the rest of my wedding band would look like, I wanted it to be a surprise...... Though thinking back on it now, hiding it wasn't the best idea.

The question was, where to hide it? I couldn't hide it in the dresser because we share it, which meant he'd find it. My nightstand was out of the question, that's where we keep the sex toys and the restraints. While I could put it under my pillow, it'd make it so I couldn't sleep. The only place I could think of to hide it was my desk in the living room. While he often goes in the drawers to get things he needs, such as parchment, quills, or ink, I could also lock the top drawer so he couldn't get into it.
