Enemies to Lovers?

Your work was definitely a colorful place to be. Being a travel agent was definitely an interesting career, you loved your customers, being able to travel wherever you wanted, and most of your coworkers, for the most part. Each employee was in charge of selling travel packages for each individual country and with your country being Mexico, and your salary being commission based you were bringing home the big dollars.

You sat in your cubicle, waiting for your least favorite coworker to stop by as you pretty much expected at this point.

"Buenos dias (f/n), Do you mind me asking you something?" A chirpy man asked as he started walking into your space. There he was, the Antonio you hated more than anyone else in the office.

"How about you get the hell out? I'm kidding, you have two minutes," You retorted, letting out a sigh. The man truly wasn't great on social cues, so you knew insulting him would only invite him to stay anyways.

"Well I was wondering, how do you keep sales so high? It's almost time to leave and you have sold 30 vacations. I'm going broke, no one wants to go to Spain." He let out a sigh, as he wiped away his tired eyes.

"Maybe if you actually worked and didn't oversleep on your siestas you would have some sales, if you want me to be honest, I think you're lazy. If you were actually dedicated, maybe you would have something. Why do you think I'm making the most sales in the company right now? If you want something you chase it." You stated honestly, starting to pack up your belongings to go home for the day.

"Wow, (f/n)! You're so right, I didn't think you ever were ever capable of being nice to me, but that's muy good advice!" He chuckled lightly as you stood up and got out of your rolling chair, keys in hand.

"It's not me being nice, it's me saving you from going broke and becoming homeless." You corrected him, walking away from your cubicle. You turned your head around, as he still stood in his tracks, deeply taking in what your previously said. "Now I expect you to do better."

Antonio definitely took your words to heart, but not in the way that you were hoping he would. The truth was, deep down he never had anything against you. In his mind, he wanted to pursue you, but your uptight nature never aloud him to make a move. That was when his friend Francis had gave him a call after work.

"So do you have any Valentine's Day plans?" Francis spoke into the cell phone, Antonio stared at the window somberly, he hadn't had such a thing in what felt like years.

"Well, no sadly. But, there is this chica at work that really catches my eye. I try to approach her sometimes, but she is just very scary and doesn't like talking to me." Antonio responded as he walked around in circles.

"Love happens in unexpected ways, mon ami. Maybe an unexpected gift would entice her?"

"How exactly do I do that Francis? I'm a broke man, she won't like a thing about me,"

"The finer things in life doesn't always equate to money. Beautifully tell her how you feel, or better yet I can help you!" Francis assured softly.

"How exactly can you help me?"

"Meet me in 30 minutes, trust me Antonio, you will see. My help will get you this mystery you are hoping to pursue."

Just like that Antonio had plans with Francis to create the best secretive Valentine's Day gift ever for you. First, they had went to the local florist to pick out your favorite flowers. Second, they went to a small bakery to pick out a selection of sweets. Francis insisted that a well made pastry could win over any heart. Antonio wasn't sure how much truth there was to that, but he let his friend work his magic, carefully selecting an assortment of delicate treats.
