These last couple of weeks, college was definitely not the most welcoming place. Exams were coming up, and molecular chemistry had felt like your most formidable enemy at this point. Most nights, you stayed up until 3 am in the library. Having reached your breaking point today, you decided to dedicate it to yourself, and your boyfriend who would be returning home soon.

He was a Global Studies major, and he had been in London for a week doing his internship in London. While you wished he was there to comfort you during exam week, he would be back at your shared apartment any minute.

'Almost home, love,' your phone buzzed, a text awaiting you from your phone.

Shortly after, you heard the doorknob fumbling as your boyfriend was on the other side of the door, unlocking the door. He had arrived home, and you greeted him with a small smile, your eyes covered in bags and your skin a sickly pale color from the sleepless nights of studying.

"Hey Arthur, how was your internship?" You inquire as he sets his bags down at the door and takes off his trench coat.

"It was wonderful, I take you had a jolly time while I was gone?" he asked, approaching the ottoman you were sitting in, his emerald eyes studying your features with concern. "Love, are you alright? You look awfully unwell."

As you yawned, you sighed, leaning back in the chair as you rubbed your temples. "It's finals week, and chemistry has been kicking me in the ass. I have hardly gotten any sleep this week and exams are this Friday. This exam determines whether or not my grade remains a B or drops to a C." You explain to him as your eyes begin to close, you were so mentally and physically drained, you had no idea how you were going to recover after this week.

A frown crossed Arthur's lips as his smooth hands brushed against the top of yours, his eyes not leaving yours for one moment. "You have to take care of yourself. You won't do well in your studies if you don't. Can I get you anything? Can I make you some tea or draw you a bath?"

"I can't Arthur, my mind won't allow me to sit down long enough to do anything to take care of myself. I've been running on caffeine alone for the last week and my body is about to kick into overdrive. I already showered last night once I got back from the library," you replied, sighing heavily.

"I can't stand seeing you like this," he told you, his brow furrowed in concern. "Please allow me to help you with this. You're reminding me of the time I was bedridden when Alfred and I had that huge argument. What is that stuff you usually do before bed, where you're dancing around the house, scaring the bloody hell out of me with the colorful mask on your face? Why don't we do that together? You always seem to brighten up after doing that."

You couldn't help but laugh in response to Arthur's description of your self-care nights. That's exactly what he wanted to hear from his weak significant other. You nodded faintly, now smiling and able to stand up. You grabbed his hand and guided him into the bathroom within your bedroom.

"I had that in mind, just to take a break from all of the studying for the day. My mind is tired. Oh! And it's called a face mask Artie, but there's much more to it than just the face mask!" You giggle, flipping the light on in the bathroom, pointing your finger at the counter beside the sink. "Sit up there so I can prep your face."

Arthur shot you a cheeky smile, climbing up the counter. "What kind of experiment are you trying to do on me?"

"Nothing worse than your attempts to summon Flying Mint Bunny." You sarcastically shot back at him.

There it was, your personality was starting to slip back to you. That was the person Arthur was hoping to see come out spending extra time with you, the person that was full of energy and things to say. Though you were mostly polite, Arthur swooned at your occasional smartass remarks.
