Waking up with a killer headache didn't surprise Taehyung. What surprised him was being surrounded by the familiar walls of his and his husband's bedroom.

He didn't understand how he had ended up here, but he didn't want to think too much. His head was killing him, after all.

With a groan, he got off the bed but noticed a glass of water and a couple of painkillers on the nightstand. There was a note next to the tablets and no matter how much he tried to ignore the note, his eyes ended up betraying him.

"I'm sorry for leaving while you were asleep. The swearing-in ceremony is nearing and I can't take any more leave now. Your parents and I had a talk last night after I picked you up from the river banks and they have forgiven me for that night. It is all in your hands now. I want to try, but I truly have no time in my hands. Just know that everything I do is because I love you and would rather die than let you in harm's way. The rest is up to you if you want to trust me and come back home."

A small part of his heart ached for Jeongguk, who now had the burden of two huge companies looming around the corner. He couldn't even imagine how a man as closed off as him would be able to handle the stress.

Would he shut Taehyung out forever because of the stress? Taehyung shuddered, not even wanting to think about it. He'd rather divorce the man and run the company on his own than live like that.

Sighing, he set the empty glass down and made his way downstairs, deciding to go back home and talk to his parents about the previous night. However, he realized that his car was still at the banks of the river and that he had no way of going back home at the moment.

He cursed his luck and trudged back in, settling on the couch and grabbing his phone to call his mother.

"You are finally up?" his mother asked the second she answered.

"Yeah," his voice sounded hoarse, "what happened last night? Hyung is saying you forgave him?"

"Yeah, he explained a little bit of what was happening and we realized that it wasn't his mistake. Something was going to happen and he was panicked about our safety to think about treating us with respect at the moment, apparently."

"Panicked....?" he couldn't imagine why. He did remember Jeongguk being panicked and the day not being normal, but Jeongguk admitting out loud that he was panicked made Taehyung think.

"You said you don't remember what Jihyo was telling you that night, right?" Dahyun asked.

"Yeah, it was a little chaotic, remember? I just remember her saying someone was there......and now that I think about it, she sounded a little panicked too," Taehyung said with a frown.

"......do you think something is seriously happening with the Jeons?" Dahyun asked after a few seconds of silence.

"I'm not really sure. How did hyung find me yesterday?" he asked.

"After Jimin called you and you didn't answer, he called Jeongguk for help. They split up and Jimin suggested for Jeongguk to look for you at the banks while he went to the bars just in case you didn't go to the banks," Dahyun explained.

Taehyung smiled a little. Trust Jimin to know him inside out. 'And trust him to try to get him and Jeongguk together despite knowing what happened,' he thought with a roll of his eyes. He knew his best friend knew that he wouldn't go to the bars when he needed to think. And yet, Jimin had sent Jeongguk to the banks instead of going there by himself.

"So what are you planning to do right now?" Dahyun asked, but Taehyung didn't answer. His eyes were on the TV, which was looking nothing like the TV that used to stand there ten days ago. It looked new and different. He frowned as he looked at the TV from all angles, wondering what happened to the old one.
