"A-ACHOO!!"
Jeongguk sniffled and wiped his nose on his sleeve and continued working with his back leaning against the pillows that he had set up behind himself on the bed. His husband was working downstairs as the couch was his most favourite place to work at.
"A-A-ACHOOOO!!"
He rolled his eyes when he heard his husband run up the stairs, but he didn't expect him to show up with a huge bottle of sanitiser spray in his hand.
"Why are you sneezing?!" Taehyung asked with wide eyes, holding the spray in front of him, ready to douse Jeongguk with it.
Jeongguk rolled his eyes again. "Just in case you forgot, we drenched in the rain for almost an hour yesterday," he reminded.
Taehyung brought his hand down and slumped, sighing guiltily. "Right. I'm sorry," he mumbled.
Jeongguk smiled and placed his laptop aside and got off the bed, trudging towards Taehyung to place his hands on his face. "Hey, I told you I had a great time yesterday. In fact, I'm sorry that you had to haul my drunk ass down, change my clothes and go through all that hassle," he said.
"I didn't mind doing it. You were cute when you kept mumbling that I was cute," Taehyung mumbled.
"See? You enjoyed it, I enjoyed it. So why sorry?"
"You are right," Taehyung mumbled and looked down.
"Then where's my favourite trillion-dollar smile?"
Taehyung graced him with just that smile and stepped into his embrace. Jeongguk automatically wrapped his arms around Taehyung and held him tighter.
"Hyung....?"
"Hmm?"
"Do you remember everything you did yesterday?"
Jeongguk froze right away. "No....did I do something?"
"Not really....but you said something..."
"What?" Jeongguk's voice dropped to a whisper. "That your best friend w-wants you dead," Taehyung said in a small voice.
"Ohh...."
"Will you tell me about it at least now?" Taehyung asked, but when Jeongguk stiffened like a rock under his hold, he heaved a sigh. "Nevermind. It's okay," he said and pulled himself away from the hug.
"He is getting released soon, right?"
Jeongguk nodded. "On the fourth of July. In another thirteen days. You don't have to be worried, though. I'm sure he won't actually harm you, because it's just me that he wants dead. I just don't want him to use you to blackmail me the way he did the other day. I don't want to take any chances."
Taehyung rolled his eyes, this time slightly pissed. "What a gentleman," he grumbled and walked out of the room.
Jeongguk just helplessly watched him leave without making any effort to go after him. What would he do after stopping him, anyway?
He pushed his tongue against his cheek and looked outside the window in the room. He knew Taehyung was starting to get pissed with all of the hiding business, but it wasn't like he could just sit and explain what happened.
It wasn't just that easy.
He knew for sure Taehyung would just get up and walk out of his life if he ever ended up explaining the whole thing to him. Maybe he wouldn't even give him a chance to explain.
