Three days passed with little to no change in their lives except for the fact that Taehyung's pajeons were finally edible. Taehyung didn't believe it when Jeongguk told him that it was good, and had to check it by himself, and when he realized it really was edible, he threw himself onto Jeongguk and let him spin him around in happiness.

Jeongguk, of course, didn't keep holding onto him for long after putting him back on the floor, but Taehyung took some time to realize what just happened.

Even early that morning, he had woken up to a pillow-wall-less bed. He had thought he might have kicked the pillows off the bed in his sleep, but now he realized that his husband must have not put up the wall in the first place.

That realization made his eyes light up, but he didn't word it out, not wanting to point Jeongguk's every small change out.

Even now, he kept smiling at the message that he had received from his husband that afternoon. Of course, it was he himself who had messaged first, asking Jeongguk if he had eaten yet, but the fact that Jeongguk asked him back if he had eaten as well took him up to the clouds.

It had never happened before. Jeongguk never tried to continue a conversation. And of course, like Taehyung always believed, things that happened once in a blue moon always had great potential to throw people off their balances. This time, it made Taehyung settle in space with a huge grin on his face the entire afternoon.

The familiar click of Jeongguk inserting his key into the main door's lock brought Taehyung back down to the earth. He rushed to the door and took Jeongguk's bag and suit from him, gracing him with a grin so huge that Jeongguk had to stop to take a double-take.

"What made you so happy?" he asked. Not that he minded it, of course, because a smiling Taehyung was one of his most favourite forms of Taehyung, but it didn't mean it didn't make him curious. It was the first time his husband came running to greet him at the door, after all.

"Nothing," Taehyung shook his head, "I'm just excited about the party tonight."

Jeongguk chuckled. "Okay. Come, then. Let's get ready. We'll leave in an hour," he said. Taehyung nodded and rushed upstairs to get ready. He had really looked forward to this day ever since he realized this day would be coming soon.

"You are just wearing a normal t-shirt and a jacket?" he asked his husband, who was now sitting tiredly on the armchair in the room, waiting for Taehyung to get ready.

Jeongguk nodded. "I'm tired," he said and closed his eyes, resting his head on the wall behind him. Feeling bad for him, Taehyung let him take a nap for the next twenty minutes while he got ready as silently as he could.

The private party just consisted of the people closest to the birthday boy's parents and Taehyung totally enjoyed it. He definitely did. But he also knew for sure that his husband did not.

Not because he was introverted or closed-off, but because he was tired. The poor man just kept sleeping in the guest room and at some point, the birthday boy joined him as well while the others enjoyed outside.

However, Taehyung wasn't sad he couldn't spend time with his husband. He was glad that his husband got some rest from his tiring week. Again, he couldn't even begin to imagine how hard managing two huge companies could be.
