Taehyung had always been a simple boy with simple momentary goals in his life. Goals like wanting to get good marks, eating ice cream at the end of the day, making a boy look back at him, or going around looking cool in front of everyone.
He had always thought he would get a romantic boyfriend for himself, go on all kinds of weird romantic dates with him, marry him and maybe raise half a dozen kids, along with a couple of dogs, and then die after growing old when he couldn't hear his great grandchildren's giggles anymore.
He had had his whole life planned.
The only flaw was that he didn't have that romantic boyfriend.
Which consequently lead to his father suggesting Jeongguk for him.
Even now, he could swear he didn't regret marrying Jeongguk, because he really loved him and felt loved, but never in this grand plan of his life had he thought he would end up killing a man and try to run away from the crime and then get arrested for it not even a couple of days later.
He had never even thought he would set a toe inside the police station's threshold unless he was going to return some lost and found property.
But here he was, having done all of them, and now on his way to the station with his hands cuffed and his thighs pressed close by two tall and buffed up cops on either side of him.
Just how many cops had come to capture him and his husband? There were two cars with three cops and a Jeon each.
It was only when they were taken to the station that Taehyung got to look at his husband, who looked straight ahead, not a centimetre of the skin on his face betraying an emotion on it.
All he got from him was a glance that lasted half a second and an assuring blink of the eyes before those eyes went back to being impenetrable.
Taehyung gulped, his hands and legs trembling violently from the fear of what was going to happen. Even his breath sounded like it was trembling.
'What the hell?' he thought. It seemed to him like his body alone was enough to give away everything.
Before he could register it, he was yanked into an interrogation room and there, he felt relieved when he found Jeongguk already sitting behind a table with an impassive face, his eyes trained on the floor.
He frowned, not having noticed Jeongguk taken away earlier due to his own anxiety which was shooting up the sky.
He was gestured to sit on the chair and then, a handsome and stern detective sat on the other side of the table and cleared his throat while his fingers fiddled with the laptop in front of him.
"Mr Jeon Jeongguk, the CEO of Jeons Inc. and Kims Ltd. and a close friend of Mr Kim Yugyeom once upon a time?" the man started, jumping right into the topic, making Taehyung's breath hitch and eyes widen.
"Ye-"
"S-S-Sir, w-we did not kill h-him, plea-" Taehyung shut his mouth when the detective threw him a glare and looked back at Jeongguk, who just nodded to answer the question.
"Mr Jeon Taehyung, the co-CEO of Jeo-"
"Y-Yes, yes, but w-w-we did n-not ki-"
The detective closed his eyes and took a deep breath, already seeming pissed with the situation. "Answer only what I ask, okay? I already know who did what and what happened and I'm only here to confirm everything, so it would be great if you stop acting like we are kids who know nothing and would believe you if you stutter and tear up and say you didn't do something that you obviously did."
