One month, One week later.....

"Alright, then. Let's conclude today's meeting with this," Jeongguk said and closed his laptop. With a sigh, he leaned back on his reclining chair, rubbing his face tiredly.

This time, he really had documents at the company and had to conduct the meeting from the office. As Dohyeon would be left alone at home, Jeongguk left Taehyung with him and went to the company alone while Taehyung attended the meeting from home.

The thought of his husband and his....son brought a smile to his face. He was still hesitant to call Dohyeon his son freely, seeing as he was once the son of his close friends, but he was slowly getting there.

There were many occasions when he would just stare at his husband and Dohyeon doing their thing and unconsciously refer to Dohyeon as his son.

He would then remember Seokjin and Namjoon and feel bad, but a certain two-foot-man along with a certain six-foot-man would do their thing again and make him grin dreamily at them, making him forget all of his thoughts for the moment.

However, there were also moments that would break his heart into pieces mercilessly when he looked at Dohyeon. One of them being the other day when Jimin visited their house and rang the doorbell twice in his excitement of sharing pizza with them.

Dohyeon, who had been busy jumping and vibing to a song on TV until then, dropped the car in his hand with his eyes going unnaturally wide. His mouth went a little 'o' and a beat later, he burst into tears, crying his eyes out for a reason unknown to them.

No amount of comforting could calm the little man down. They didn't understand it at first, but fortunately, Jeongguk got a call from Hoseok casually that night. It was when he casually mentioned how Dohyeon cried himself to sleep a couple of hours ago that Hoseok gasped, audibly facepalming himself.

"Sorry, Gguk, I forgot to mention, how idiotic of me!! When he was with us, Yoongs and I noticed that he is scared of doorbells. It's strange because neither of us remember Joonie or Jinnie hyung mentioning that, but we noticed that he is very jumpy too. I mean, you drop something or do something loud suddenly, and he will spend the entire evening crying."

Jeongguk had himself spent half of the night crying without telling Taehyung what was wrong. And when he finally did tell Taehyung why he was crying, Taehyung found it hard to stop his tears as well.

It was crystal clear to them that Dohyeon was traumatized by what had happened on the night of Yugyeom's death. And it killed them to know that they were indirectly or directly the reason for it.

By the time Dohyeon woke up the next morning, Jeongguk had uninstalled the doorbell of their house and had called a carpenter to fix a traditional knock on their door.

Another heartbreaking moment was when Jeongguk and Taehyung visited Hoseok and Yoongi a week ago. The couple had framed a picture of Seokjin and Namjoon and put it on their showcase. The moment Dohyeon's eyes fell on it, he started pointing at them, babbling at top speed, as if he was telling the rest of them about the two men in the photo.

Neither the Jeon couple nor the Min couple could stop themselves from gulping or tearing up when Dohyeon kept staring at the photo even after he finished talking about them.

After a couple of minutes, however, Dohyeon pointed at the photo again, and this time, looked at Taehyung questioningly with tears in his eyes. "Oh, baby," Taehyung finally broke out of his trance and went forward to pick Dohyeon up in his arms, "they aren't coming back, sweety, they aren't," he sniffled, cradling Dohyeon's head on his neck.
