After spending the whole afternoon and evening with Jimin, Taehyung returned home late in the night, only to find Jeongguk cooking in the kitchen once again.
The sight brought rage back in him, but he remembered Jimin speculating that Jeongguk must be angry about the previous night.
"Maybe he didn't take your dramatics as fun. I told you to be careful and that he might hear you," had been his words.
It made sense to Taehyung. Maybe he himself wouldn't take an unknown person's dramatics as fun either and Taehyung was practically unknown to Jeongguk at present despite being his husband.
Thus, making his mind up to apologize despite being mad about the earlier humiliation, he walked into the kitchen once again and cleared his throat.
And again, Jeongguk completely ignored his existence.
"I...I am sorry about saying I hate you last night. I mean it, I really don't hate you," he said, but he didn't hear anything save for the meat that was sizzling on the pan.
"Will you please give me a reply at least?"
No response.
"Please! Is it something else? You can't be this pissed about something that simple, right? Tell me what's wrong!!"
Again, no response. Jeongguk just placed the cooked meat pieces onto his plate, served himself his dinner and picked the plates up, walking nonchalantly towards the living room to eat on the couch, away from Taehyung's presence.
Once again, Taehyung realized that none of the food was for him. And again, he felt tears gather in his eyes. What had he done so bad to deserve this kind of treatment from his husband?
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, "SAY SOMETHING, YOU FUCKER!! SAY IF I'VE DONE SOMETHING WRONG AND I'LL CORRECT IT!!" he yelled and when he received no response other than a loud sigh, he turned around and stormed into the living room to confront Jeongguk more.
"TALK TO ME!! I ASKED YOU SOMETHING!!" he yelled.
Jeongguk didn't even blink his eyes away from the TV as he brought his fork up to stuff his mouth with the noodles that he had cooked.
At that, Taehyung lost it completely and with the tears blinding him, he stormed forward and grabbed the plate in Jeongguk's hand and slammed it to the floor as harshly as he could.
Jeongguk's eyes widened as he shot off the couch at that, shoving Taehyung away from him violently. "HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND?!" he thundered as he stared at his noodles, which were now mixed with pieces of glass.
"YES, I'VE LOST MY MIND!! CAN'T YOU JUST TELL ME WHAT'S WRONG INSTEAD OF MAKING A FOOL OUT OF ME LIKE THIS?! YOU ARE SUCH A RUDE MOTHERFUCKER, I REALLY SHOULDN'T HAVE MARRIED YOU!! I HATE YOU, I HATE YOU!!"
Jeongguk, who had sat back down on the couch by then, ground his teeth and glared at the TV as he stuffed his mouth with meat so that he wouldn't end up saying something inappropriate.
Taehyung, who reached his peak by then, grabbed a vase nearby and hurled it at Jeongguk, "say something!!" He picked a book as well and hurled it at Jeongguk again, spitting "say something, you fucker!!" through gritted teeth once again.
Jeongguk luckily dodged both of them, but he dropped his plate of meat in the process, losing that to the pieces of glass as well.
He stared, horrified, at Taehyung with his hands protectively in front of his face, and after a few seconds, he just got up and walked up the stairs and into his bedroom and slammed the door shut.
