Chapter 33

Natalie

Henry and I had barely entered the main hall where the party was taking place when I noticed Amanda waving toward us from the table at the end of the room. She was standing beside Sam.

I waved, giving a small smile, and we walked up to them.

"Hey, guys." I greeted and we all took turns in hugging each other.

"As always, you, my darling, look lovely. You have to let me in on who styles you."

I smiled. "Happily. It's a Bryce."

"As in your family?"

"Hmm." I smiled.

"Wow." She says and I smiled. "I'm guessing, since I happen to be friends with their eldest daughter, there will be a discount?." She raised her brows.

"Absolutely," I muttered seriously and we both laugh.

Sam

I smiled as I stared at Natalie, laughing with Amanda. She was looking so beautiful in that dress.

It brought back the most beautiful day of my life - Our wedding.

Her dress was stunning. Simple yet super elegant. It hugged her in the perfect places, her makeup and the hair...it was made for her.  The moment we held eyes, my heart fluttered and I smiled happily as she walked toward me.

My smile disappears as I locked gazes with the asshole beside her.

He gave me a strict look which I returned.

Natalie's eyes turned serious for a second and I tilted my head to the side to see what got her attention.

It was Jack.

Natalie

My heart skipped a bit as we locked gazes.

"Jack," I called out, lowly.

"Look who it is. Natalie Bryce." He replied, with a sarcastic undertone and I pressed my lips together.
"You look better than Sam described." He added.

"Jack..." Sam says.

"What? I can't be honest?" He frowns at Sam and turns his gaze on me. "You look lovely in that dress by the way." He compliments.

"Thanks. So do you. I mean, in that suit."

"Thanks. It's new. I just bought it. I used Sam's credit card like old times." He winks and I smiled.

Classic Jack.

"Henry." He nods at him.

"Jack."

"You still look like shit. Good to see you again." He sarcastically remarks and they shook hands.

"I see someone still hasn't filtered their words. Good to see you too." Henry replies and I coughed.

I was nervous as the situation was getting awkward. As if reading my mind, Amanda says, rather loudly.

"Sam, look. They came." She faces Sam, and my eyes trailed in the direction of theirs and I saw a really beautiful couple coming toward us.

Sam waved at them and the man instantly smiled at us and they started walking up to us. As soon as they got to where we were, Sam smiled heartily at the man.  "My man." He greeted them rather cheerfully and they hugged.

"How have you been?" The other man said as soon as they pulled away.

"Good. Good." He grins and faces the woman. "Hi, you beautiful woman."
