Six days pass by. Six days that seem like forever. Sure Blaine and Kurt called each other every evening but most of those calls Kurt felt asleep after a while. Blaine didn't mind. He informed himself a lot about cancer, leukemia and chemotherapy especially after their first fight so a fight like that won't happen again and since his cancer is back. He knows that Kurt is exhausted and needs to sleep and rest. But still he misses his boyfriend a lot and counts the days since day one until he can see Kurt again.
Friday. The day that Blaine finally sees Kurt again. But first he has to go to school. He can't skip, as much as he wants to. He promised Kurt that he won't do that anymore. In school he sees Finn at his locker, obviously waiting for him. "Hey Finn. What's up?" the shorter boy gets the tall one. "I just want to prepare you for when you go to Kurt today. You want to spend the night there too right?" Finn asks. Blaine nods "That's the plan" while putting stuff into his locker. "Do you remember how it was when you both visited his mother?" The tall boy asks further. "Yes but it's not that bad right? I mean he isn't that weak already like Eliza was. Right?" Blaine asks, sounding worried. "No but he doesn't look good either and that after only the first cycle so be prepared. I think that he'll be happy to see you but depending on how he's feeling he might wants to push you away." Finn continues. Blaine adds "Because he thinks that I shouldn't see him like that. He told me that before". "Exactly. Just be there for him. He misses you even tho he doesn't show it." The tall boy says as the bell rings "Well I have to go to class now but I'll maybe stop by after glee club so you two have some time alone. Give me a call when something is wrong". The tall boy leaves and Blaine too, trying to get over with school as soon as possible.
After class Blaine packs his stuff and drives to the hospital, going straight into Kurts room. When he opens the door, he can see the other boy sleeping. On the laptop in front of him is still Spongebob Squarepants playing but the boys eyes are closed and his arms embrace the teddy bear.
The curly haired boy immediately recognizes that his boy is not fine. He looks more pale than usually and he definitely lost weight. He seems thinner and fragile. But Blaine pushes this thought away, remembering that Kurt doesn't want to be treated like porcelain.
Quietly Blaine enters, closing the door behind him and sits down on the edge of the bed. Softly he strikes the other boy through his hair, causing him to wake up. "Blaine. Hey" a sleepy Kurt says, making the other boy space to sit. As a proper greeting Blaine kisses his boy and whispers "Hey Baby" while sitting down. "Sorry. I wanted to wait for you but I felt asleep." Kurt apologizes, seeing the other boy shake his head "It's fine. You need rest. How are you?". "Better than the last days for sure" Kurt says, leaning back into his boyfriends arms. "How was it at school?" Kurt asks, resting his head on Blaines shoulder. "Okay but with you it's better" Blaine answers, making Kurt smile. "I know. But since I'm only for schoolwork at McKinley and not in person you have to be my eyes and ears for gossip. From you would be a lot better than texts from the glee girls even tho I still love it." Kurt says and Blaine grimaces, making Kurt laugh. "You know I'm not that into gossip." The fury haired boy says but Kurt pouts "But I am and you love me. Pweeese". Shaking his head smiling Blaine gives in "I try and I'll ask the girls about what they heard so I can keep you updated". "Yey!" Kurt squeals "You're the best!". "But the good thing that you're still at McKinley if only for schoolwork is that we still can do homework together just like before" Blaine says smiling and Kurt laughs "You're saying this because I have better grades than you.". "Maybe" Blaine laughs, kissing Kurts temple.
"Hey do you want to play something? Better than always just watching Netflix" Kurt suggests and the other boy nods "Sure. Why not?". Smiling Kurt stands up and goes to a shelf. It's not far but Blaine can see visibly that Kurt got weaker. He knows that it won't be easy. He just never thought that it would go that fast. But he's tough just like Eliza was.
