Part 7

Finn drives to the hospital immediately after school, skipping Glee Club for today. He's worried about his brother so naturally he wants to look after him as soon as possible. Once there he knocks on the door and comes in with a "Hello, Hello". "Finn? What are you doing here? You should be in Glee Club now." Kurt says surprised while his brother sits down in the edge of the bed. "I missed you too. For your information I skipped today so I could see you and bring you your stuff" Finn explains. He had good intentions with skipping glee but Kurt isn't exactly happy about that "Finn! No! If you skip Glee because I'm sick people will think that it's something serious". "It is serious Kurt." Finn says but his brother shakes his head "It's just a fever. I'll be fine.". "Okay. Let's not fight about it." Finn gives in and changes the topic "How are you?". "Doctor Martin says my fever is still the same and they continue with antibiotics and check ups and I say I never been more bored." Kurt says, rolling his eyes. Everything without Blaine is boring. Laying in hospital all day long without company even more.

"Let's do our schoolwork together. It's win-win. You can help me and I can keep you company." Finn suggests and when Kurt agrees the two of them start working immediately.

After that they just start talking about what Kurt missed. "The teacher might know" Finn tells and Kurt nods "Just because dad told them about my past. And now I'm sick and can't come to school. What else would they think?". "Mr. Schue asked if you're okay and offered me that I can talk to him as I told him that I won't go to glee club today." Finn continues telling and Kurts eyes open wide "What did you tell him?". "I told him you'll be fine and back in school again soon. Oh and of course that he shouldn't tell any on the new directions. He said that he agrees and if you're ready to open up he'll do everything to make you feel comfortable. And if you're not ready that's okay too but you should be the one to tell them." Finn answers and Kurt let's put a breath he didn't know he was holding. "That means never" he then answers "The only people who know is the staff here, you, dad and Carol". The boy throws his head back against his pillow, starring at the ceiling.

"Why don't you tell the others?" Finn asks but he knows the answer. Kurt always answers the same. "I want people to know me. Kurt. Be friends with me. Kurt. Like me for me. Kurt. Not because of my sickness or because they pity me. I'm not made of Porcelain. I'm not something that can break when you touch it." Kurt says. Finn looks at him and nods. He would hug him but that would be a pity hug and exactly what Kurt doesn't want.

After a while Finn leaves and Kurt gets comfortable with Netflix. He knows that he wanted to call Blaine but he just couldn't lie to the boy anymore but also not the truth. He looks at his phone and sees a message from Rachel, telling him that it's Katy Perry week in Glee Club and that she misses him and hopes he get better soon. "Great. I miss Katy Perry week. But at least she doesn't know anything" Kurt thinks out loud and answers her fast. Then he puts his phone away and falls asleep after a while. He need to rest.

It's 11 pm and Kurt still hasn't called. Sure Blaine send him messages and call him but nothing. So the bad boy falls asleep while starring at his phone.
The bad boy doesn't sleep good. He dreams about what happened four years ago. They were inseparable but from one day to another everything changed. Blaine can't help but have the same bad feeling like back then. It's happening again.
Today Blaine is determined to find out what happened to Kurt. I'm school he tried to talk to Finn again who just made up more excuses to not talk to him. Rachel was more cooperative but she just knew as much as Blaine.

After school Blaine goes home to do his homework fast and then makes his way to Kurt.
He rings the doorbell and Carol opens the door, wearing her work clothes. Does she go to or come from work? "Hello Blaine. Can I help you?" She asks kindly smiling and Blaine nods, still determined "I want to see Kurt. I want to surprise him". He showed her a teddy bear he brought earlier to give it to Kurt so he doesn't feel lonely while he and Finn are at school. "I'm sorry honey but Kurt is fast asleep. Maybe come back some time else. Can I tell him anything from you?" Carol excuses the sick boy. A little disappointed Blaine shakes his head "No thanks. I'll just text him. Thank you Carol.". When she closes the door Blaine turns around and goes home again. At home he writes Kurt another message, telling him that he was at his home but Carol send him away, but once again no response. Kurt stopped responding since he wanted to call yesterday.

But Blaine has to admit that he likes Kurt more than he thought. The feeling of Kurt leaving his live again without letting him know why hurts him.
Once something good happens in his life and now it gets taken away from him again. He loved Kurt the first time he left and he loves him now. This time he won't lose Kurt. He needs a plan to talk to Finn without him being able to escape.

Kurt feels guilty about ignoring Blaine and his fever is still high so Kurt tries to lighten his mood with cartoons. Finn went home a while ago.
The door knocks and Carol walks in, followed by Lisa who brings the dinner. Carol sits down on the edge of the bed, she still has a bit time before her shift. She feels Kurts forehead and says "Still fever but it got a little better". "Honey Blaine came over to our house today. I told him you're asleep but don't think it's time to tell him?" she asks but Kurt shakes his head and starts talking without thinking "I love him. I can't risk to lose him.". As he realizes what he just said he covered his mouth with his hands but Carol takes his hands and smiles. "You really love him?" She asks and Kurt nods, this time completely sure and in awareness of his answer. "Maybe that's just another good reason to tell him." Carol suggests. "But- But what if he doesn't love me back? Or when I tell him and he leaves early because of that?" Kurt starts to ramble on but Carol shushes him "He's crazy about you. He came over to our house to make sure you're okay. Tell him and if he leaves you than you know that he's an complete asshole and you deserve better. Just think about it okay? I have to go now". She kisses the boy on the heated forehead before she leaves the room.

After an uneasy sleep Blaine wakes up and get ready for school. He's tired but more determined than before to talk to Finn and finds out.
He enters the school and sees Finn escaping. That has time. First Blaine has classes and Blaine has a plan.

After his last class, before Glee Club Finn and Rachel are at Rachel's locker. With them are their friends Sam, Santana and Brittany. They are going to help Blaine. Yesterday Blaine talked to Rachel and they figured something out.

As planned Blaine makes his way to the group of friends and like he guessed Finn looks panicked as he sees him coming. "Finn we need to talk" Blaine says, a few meters away from the group. Fast the tall boy turns around "Excuse me, I forgot something in my locker".

But Rachel holds him back "We just we're at your locker and we checked if you have everything". "Besides it's Glee Club. You don't need anything for Glee." Sam comments and as Finn spins around he sees that his so called friends block his way.
There's no escape and no more time because now Blaine reaches them and stands directly in front of the taller boy. "You can't run away until you tell me what's wrong with my boyfriend. Don't deny it because you, him and Carol act strange since he's sick" Blaine says half cold hearted to Finn but also partly concerned about the boy he loves. "Blaine you don't understand. It's not that easy" Finn says but Blaine shakes his head "Okay maybe but I love him and I can't lose him. Not again.".

Rachel's eyes grow wide as she hears the words love out of Blaines mouth. She has to tell Kurt. No this is something Blaine has to tell Kurt. But that works only if their plan works out and Blaine finds out what's wrong. Finn takes a deep breath and mutters "Fine". He then turns to his friends "Do you Kind giving Blaine and me a minute? No one should know about that and my brother will kill me only for telling Blaine. Go to Glee Club and tell Mr. Schue that I might come a few minutes later.". Finn kisses his girlfriend and grabs Blaines wrist, pulling him in an empty classroom. "I'm a dead man after this you know that right?" Finn says while he goes up and down in the room. Blaine leans against a table "Ik is and I'm sorry for you but he ignores me and you act strange and I-". He gets interrupted by Finn who stops walking, faces Blaine and spills "He had cancer!".
