Part 16

In the Morning Kurt wakes up, looking at a sleeping Blaine. He smiles at him but doesn't wake him. Then he hears a phone buzz and to look which phone it was he takes the phone. Blaines phone. But the text Blaine got let's Kurt wonder.

Pam: Happy New Year to you too! I hope we can meet soon!

Confused he turns around to Blaine and looks at him. He doesn't want to wake him up but when Blaine is awake Kurt will ask him about it.

Blaine wakes up too after a while, catching his boyfriend staring at him. "Morning" he mumbles. "Good Morning" the bald boy answers laughing.
Kurt kisses his boy before both sit up.

Blaine stands up to get ready while Kurt stays in bed and answers some New Years messages he overslept. Alongside he says "Oh B? You've got a message from your mom while you slept". Fast Blaine turns around "Did you look through my phone?", hoping that Kurt didn't read the whole chat between him and his mom. "No. But I wanted to look which phone it was and I saw that Pam wrote you. Or do you have another contact as mom?" Kurt says sincerely and joking in the end. Blaine smiles but doesn't answer. He just takes his phone to answer her.

"B?" Kurt asks as the other boy puts away his phone again "What's going on with your mom and you?". Blaine sighs. He sits down on the edge of the bed, his gaze down to his hands, and explains "I thought my parents wanted nothing to do with me but my mother came to her senses. She tried contacting me about two months ago. A bit before the first session that I was with you because Finn got into trouble. I ignored her because why would she want something to do with me? Last month I got myself together and answered the phone. We started talking and writing and by now I believe that she's sorry but I haven't forgiven her yet. We wished each other a happy New Year and now she wants to meet up with me. Making peace with me is her New Years resolution and meeting my mother and maybe learn to forgive her is mine".

There's silence for a moment. Then Kurt lifts the other boys head up with his fingers, looking him right in those glittering hazel eyes. "B... why didn't you tell me? I could've helped you with whatever" Kurt says, trying to find the right words. "I don't know" the boy shrugs "I guess I just wanted you to focus on getting healthy". "That's what everyone wants but I'm on my best way there and supporting you wouldn't have changed a thing." the bald boy says, kissing the tip of his boyfriends nose. "Promise me to tell me if you need my help with this and keep me updated" he adds and the other boy nods "Promise".

"I'm meeting her today" Blaine says as soon as he walks in Kurts room. Two weeks passed and Kurt starts his hopefully last sesion tomorrow. He laughs at the overexited boy "Hello to you too". "Oh sorry" the curly haired boy says, kissing his boyfriend and sits down "Hi baby". Kurt still laughs about the overexitement of his boyfriend. It's cute. "Kuuuurt! Stoooooop! This is serious" The shorter boy says, looking at Kurt with puppy eyes. The boy stops and clears his throat "Sorry. Go on". "So. I'm Meeting her in the cafe right down the street so after I can come back to you straight to tell you everything. But I'm meeting her for the first time in about four years. What will she think of me? What will I say? What's with my dad?-" the shorter boy rambles on but Kurt stops him "Baby. You're rambling". "Hey! That's my petname for you" Blaine pouts but then both start laughing.

"You'll be fine B." the taller boy says as they calmed down again. "I kinda know that it'll be but I'm still nervous. I wish you could come with me" Blaine sighs. Kurt nods, taking Blaines hand "But this is something you have to do.

Besides chemo starts tomorrow so it's unlikely that I get permission to go out. Buut I'll think about you the whole time and you can call me if something is wrong. When you get back you'll tell me everything.".

The two boys chat a bit more about things Blaine and his mom could talk about and things he better don't say. Then it's time for Blaine to kiss his boyfriend goodbye, take his jacket and go to the cafe where he'll meet his mother.
