One week Kurt stayed home still. In that week he had time to unpack and get used to being back home again. Burt talked to the school to say that from next week on Kurt is back to school so they don't have to send him thigs for homeschooling then. This is the last week in which Kurt gets his stuff sended.

Kurt is happy to finally go back to school again with Finn and meet Blaine and all his friends there. But he should've known better. This is still the same old Lima, Ohio and nothing changed at McKinley while he was in hospital.

Now he's officially cancer guy and as soon as he and Finn get out of the car he feels looks of pity on him. "Let's just go in and find Blaine and the others" Kurt says already slightly annoyed. And to be honest Finn can't say that he isn't annoyed as well.

Inside Kurt is greated by only more looks of pity. Pity and the jocks of course. They never would touch the sick boy just like they never touch Artie. They still have manners, do they?
But sometimes words can hurt equally much, if not more.
Of course Kurt wears a hat, matiching his outfit, to prevent his head from getting cold.
"Niche hairstyle Hummel" Karovski says, walking past the boy and Azemio adds "Oh and look, you lost weight. Can't hurt. Can it?". That's enough. Finn wants to take action, leaving Kurt standing in shock behind him. "Take that back!" the tall boy yells angrily and raises his fist but before Finn could hit one of the two jocks the New Directions come to help.

Puck rushes to Finn "Dude no! Last time it got you detention!". Finn thinks about it for a moment and lets his fist sink again to let the bullies go. Puck is right, he can't do that. He need to be there for Kurt and getting into trouble won't help and would make his mom and Burt mad.
Blaine and Rachel stand with Kurt, the other friends around them, feeling the urge to protect their friend. And sure he's grateful but the words of the jocks echo in his head. Slowly he feels the tears rising in his eyes, threatning to fall.

"Excuse me" He says fast and runs away. He didn't really thought of where he would run but he found himself in the choir room. The room he missed most from the whole school, next to the auditorium which comes in second. And he's not alone because Mr. Schuester sits in the room next door at his desk and hears the door open. He was about to prepare this weeks theme. First he thought about making it a welcome back week for Kurt but then he realized that Kurt doesn't want that so he decided to change it to home. Home that Kurt wasn't since a long time. The choir room, which is the home of the New Directions. Home.

But as the door opens and close again and the teacher hears someone crying he stands up to have a look. "Kurt?" He asks approaching the student and sitting down next to him. The boy looks up and wipes away the tears "Oh, hello Mr.Schue". "Do you want to tell me what happened?" the teacher asks but Kurt just shrugs. "I just imagined it'll be different. Coming back to school" the boy thinks aloud.
The words still echo in his head. Of course he lost weight and hair. These are parts of the chemotherapy. Kurt is happy that other than the last time he still has eyebrows and lashes.

Mr. Schue doesn't has time to answer because the door opens again. "There you are" Blaine says out of breath. He run after Kurt after making sure Finn wouldn't get himself into trouble. The boy comes in and sits down on Kurts other side "Just ignore them". "I can't. That's the problem" Kurt answers, his voice cracking again. Blaine puts his arms around his boy, knowing that he doesn't want to talk about it, hugging him tightly. Kurt feels his boyfriends hand stroking over his back and it's exactly what he needed. Blaine is a great hugger and after this not so perfect start, this is all he needs.

After that Kurt lost some motivation but he's still glad to be back. They didn't took that from him.
The day goes on and on and Kurt got more and more moody. The pity looks really annoy him. But even worse than the pity are the jocks. They hadn't touched him and didn't said anything anymore but the looks they gave him are somehow disgusted and in either way offensive. As much as looks can be offensive.
