The next three weeks are best described as a progress.

Most of the times Blaine still stays when Kurt naps but by now from time to time he leaves to get himself a coffee. But not even 15 minutes later he's back in the room again, watching Kurt sleep or reading. But at least he gets himself coffee. That's progress. He and Kurt talked about what happened a few more times and went more into detail and those talks really helped Blaine to take a step out of the room in first place.

One week ago:
When Blaine closes his door he sees Kurt still sleeping and exhales quietly but relieved. He puts the two coffee mugs on the side table and pulls off his shoes again. Then sits down on the edge of Kurts bed. Time to wake him up. "Baby. You need to wake up or we'll be late for practice" Blaine says softly after kissing him on the forehead. Slowly Kurt opens his eyes and stretches while mumbling something that Blaine couldn't understand. Since Kurt gets no answer he repeats more clear "Do I smell coffee?". Laughing Blaine nods "Yes. I went downstairs to get us some". Slowly Kurt sits up "Great". Blaine sits down next to him and takes the mugs, passing one to Kurt. "Thank you" the bald boy says, takes a sip and adds "I'm proud of you. I know it's still not easy for you to leave so I'm proud you did". Blaine looks at the time on his phone "12 Minutes" and sighs. "Hey thats good. Three days ago it was 8 and the others between you stayed" Kurt says encouraging and takes Blaines free hand in his.

Jeff is also making progress in his gieving. Sometimes it's still hard for him but it gets better with each day. One of the hardest will still come. The funeral. It'll take place the week after Regionals on a Saturday.

Four days after jeffs grandma died:
"Do you want to watch Alexa and Katie?" Blaine asks Kurt. They got comfortable in bed and Blaine opened the laptop but before Kurt could answer there's a knock at the door. Seconds later Jeff hesitantly comes in "Am I interrupting something?". With one look at Jeff Kurt recognizes what's up with him and sits up again "No not at all. Come, sit down". The he truns to Blaine "Would you mind to give us some time? And maybe see after Nick?". The curly haired boy nods, kisses his boyfriend and smiles softly at Jeff before leaving the room and going to Nicks.

Comfortable silence fills the room before Jeff takes out a picture he had in the pocket of his pants. "I never showed you how she looks like. I mean I don't know if you met in hospital since Carol was her nurse but I thought I could show you my favorite picture with her". The blond boy stands up and gives Kurt the picture before sitting down on the free bed again. Kurt looks at the picture. It shows Jeff and his grandma dancing together. Jeff was shorter than now and even tho Kurt can only see him from the side he sees that the Jeff in the picture is younger. "How old were you?" He asks and the other boy answers "13. We always danced together but I just danced how I felt like. That day I told her that our school plans a prom and that I wanted to ask Nick to be my date and dance with me. She insisted on showing me how to dance properly and we practiced the whole day in our living room. It's one of my favorite memories with her". "It's a beautiful memory Jeff" Kurt says smiling and gives the picture back to Jeff.

"Jeff would you like do dance with me in honour of her? You told me so much about your grandma and I think it would bring me closer to her" Kurt proposes with a soft smile. Jeff laughs "Kurt there isn't any music" but the bald boy answers "The you'll sing. Just like back then. But you have to lead me because I'm not the best". Once again Jeff laughs but stands up. Kurt stands up too and holds out his hand, inviting Jeff to dance. Sure Jeff will take the lead but Kurt is the one who asked. With a soft smile Jeff takes Kurts hand and they start dancing while Jeff quietly hums an improvised melody.

They danced for a while before sitting down on the beds again. "You're not bad Kurt" Jeff says smiling and Kurt laughs "You're a good lead. I tend to stumble over my own feets.". Then Kurt gets lost in his memory again "My mom wanted to show me how to dance but she never really got the chance to. My dad is even worse than me. Carol showed me how to dance but with my cancer and her work we hadn't much time for that". "Your mother would've been proud of how you just danced with me Kurt" the blond boy answers.
