"Do you have your toiletries?" Jae pestered behind me.
"Yes," I answered.
"Hair supplies?" he continued.
"Yes," I answered again.
"How about-"
"Jae!" I called out, cutting the boy off. "I've packed everything. I'll be fine."
"Just checking, that's all," Jae continues, voice slightly softer now.
"I'm be fine. I have Sunwoo to help me if I need," I comfort my brother.
At the mention of him, the doorbell rang, initiating my leave. I opened the door to see Sunwoo in a hoodie and baggy pants, a bag carried on his shoulders.
"Ready to go?" Sunwoo asks.
"Yeah," I reply, slipping on my shoes. "If you ever get hungry, there leftovers in the fridge. You can always buy or go out if you'd like. Just remember to close and lock the gate," I reminded Jae one last time.
"Do you have the lock for the gate?" Jae asks.
I raised my hand and show him the key in my hand.
"Okay. Bye Jae! See you in two days!" I wished, before walking out of my apartment.
"You better take care of my sister," I heard Jae lightly threaten Sunwoo.
"I will. You don't have anything to be worried for," Sunwoo says.
"I hope not," Jae mumbles.
I roll my eyes and walk into my brother for a hug. "I'll be okay," I say.
He hugs back, tightly. "Be safe," he wishes.
With that, I pull away and pick up my bag. I quietly take Sunwoo's hand in mine before we walk away from my apartment and towards the bus stop.
"My family is so excited to meet you!" Sunwoo shares excitedly.
"It doesn't seem like it's only them," I point out teasingly.
"You're gonna love them. My sister- she's going to love you," the boy continues to ramble on.
I give him a smile that reached my eyes as he continues to talk about his parents. We reach the bus stop and wait for the bus to arrive. It wasn't a long ride there since Sunwoo's family didn't live in a whole other district unlike Changmin.
We reach the apartment building and it's painted in neutral colours, brown and beige decorating the side of the apartment. It looked much better than mine; off white. We take the elevator up and Sunwoo pulls me along behind him, as he tries to find his house unit.
"Here," he says, stopping in front of an apartment with a white door.
I bite my bottom lip nervously as my grip on Sunwoo's hand tightens. Sunwoo notices my anxiousness and rubs his thumb on my hand.
